[Sherrod] Brown pledges to be most pro-union 2020 candidate if he runs

Democrat Sherrod Brown brought a pro-worker message Saturday to Las Vegas casino workers who are members of what’s considered Nevada’s most powerful labor union, declaring that if he decides to run for president, he will be “the most pro-union candidate.”

Brown, a U.S. senator from Ohio, said he’s going to make a decision about 2020 in the next month. He addressed workers in the union hall of the Culinary Union as he kicked off a trip to the early Western caucus state, which is seen as a key test of a candidate’s appeal to diverse demographics.

Brown is the first potential or announced 2020 candidate to hold an event this year with the housekeepers, bartenders and others in the heavily Latino union, though other contenders have had private meetings with union leaders in recent months. […]

The senator said that if he were elected president, one of his first acts would be to meet with the leaders of the country’s biggest banks and biggest high-rise buildings and urge them to pay their custodians, security guards and food service workers $15 an hour. …

Does he mean the most pro union new green deal candidate? Even union leadership should run from this. At minimum leadership needs a small percentage of current membership to keep their jobs so the union bosses get paid.

Government & teachers unions are still going strong and that’s where the money is. The Democrats and the teacher’s unions for example conspire against the taxpayers during their “negotiations” and in exchange for fat contracts the unions kick back political donations and put boots on the ground for the Democrats every election. The teacher’s unions can also by relied on to declare every Republican proposal as war against our children and every Democrat proposal as necessary to save our children! It’s time we stood up and said if you work for the tax payers in government at any level then it’s a civil SERVICE and as such unions in government are unacceptable.Want to reduce the size of government and get control of spending? Outlaw government unions!

Labor unions already should have been killed off with a repeal of the 1935 Labor Relations Act. It was passed by two overwhelmingly demoncrat-controlled houses (75/15 and 334/88) and signed by America’s first Fascist president. Its primary impact was to exempt unions from the Sherman Anti-Trust Act so they could engage in price fixing, which is exactly what collective bargaining is. There’s no other link in America’s free market system that can price fix legally except unionized labor, so it always has been a hindrance to the exercise of capitalism. It should have been dealt with decades ago.

The tenth plank of communism pushes “(f)ree education for all children in public schools”. Education should be out of the public sector altogether, never mind non-unionized.

Sherrod Brown abandoned the unions under Obama

He is campaigning for VP hoping to rip Ohio away from Trump.
