“Throughout history, poverty is the normal condition of man. Advances which permit this norm to be exceeded — here and there, now and then — are the work of an extremely small minority, frequently despised, often condemned, and almost always opposed by all right-thinking people. Whenever this tiny minority is kept from creating, or (as sometimes happens) is driven out of a society, the people then slip back into abject poverty.

This is known as “bad luck.”

-Robert A. Heinlein

You can bet your snake skin boots the world as we know it is changing. The key is to not be of this world.

Take the time and brush up on your Jordan B. Peterson. There is a war of ideas being waged, and if enough people get off their ass and pay attention, the war will be won.

Mayans didn't build temples in the jungle. They built them in the middle of their cities, which were as densely populated as Los Angeles is today. In two hundred years they went from their peak to almost non existent.

Quote from article: "The Roman Empire, for example, was the victim of many ills including overexpansion, climatic change, environmental degradation and poor leadership."

I guess those old Romans shouldn't have been driving all those gas guzzling V8 SUVs and chariots. Bad Romans, bad, bad Romans! They brought it on themselves through AGW. </sarc>

Yeah, those roman SUVs. Maybe it was lion farts, raising lions for the slave games. I think it was partly drinking from lead goblets that led to madness. Maybe the same thing afflicts modern day liberals.

The West is in rapid decline. It’s an uneven decline, but a general collapse is coming.

I visited London in the 70s when I was a little kid....look at it now. Utterly distorted & beyond recognition.

In my opinion we are on the fast track to a new dark age. Truth, objective science, rational thought, morality, are all being cast aside, and not by accident. The question is how to escape the s*it storm that is bearing down on us?

The Bible has it all mapped out. Romans 1:18-32 says that we refuse to admit God is our Creator so he has given us over to a reprobate mind. A reprobate is a person beyond saving. The first sign of "reprobateness" is homosexuality. Luke has Jesus saying it will be as the days of Noah an the days of Lot when He returns to judge the world. The Days oif Lot are easy to figure out that we are there already, but the days of Noah are a little tougher to analyze. Gen 6:1 has fallen angels mating with human women to corrupt the DNA of the humans made in the Image of God. These Giant Nephilim had the ability to edit DNA. They made Dinosaurs as well as other Chimera's that were NOT pleasing to God. God immediately called Noah to build the Ark for the coming Flood that would wipe out anything alive. God chose exactly what He wanted to live and put it on the Ark Himself.

Since then Ham's line was cursed through Canaan, Ham's son. Following that line of seed, we come to Nimrod, who was the first Giant after the Flood. The corruption of the "seed" had made it through the Flood. Noah was the only person with "perfect generations". The Genesis 3 seed war between Satan and God is still going on. The Antichrist will be in the seed line of Nimrod.

To recognize the signs of the "Days of Noah", we need to look for DNA editing, cloning, and grafting of human DNA. In Daniel 2:43, he speaks of the seed of iron not mixing with the clay. We are the clay, but the seed of the iron is not known yet, but it won't be human.

I would say we are very close to collapse of the human race. The spreading of the reprobate mind will make humans so stupid, we may not know men from women. We may not be able to tell a baby from a blob of meat. We might even believe the climate will kill us.
