“Smollett told police he was attacked by two masked men as he was walking home from a Subway sandwich shop at around 2 a.m on Jan. 29.
The actor, who is black and gay, said the masked men beat him, made derogatory comments and yelled “This is MAGA country” an apparent reference to President Donald Trump’s campaign slogan, “Make America Great Again” before fleeing.”
Federal crimes now...
A magazine is one of the pieces of evidence retrieved from the brothers home last week during a search conducted by CPD
“What About Harmless, Suspicious White Powder?”
“Turns out, there’s a handy federal offense covering this sort of thing. 18 U.S.C. section 1038 makes it a crime to “engag[e] in any conduct with intent to convey false or misleading information [that] may reasonably be believed [to indicate] that” a biological agent is present. It also makes doing so a civil action, i.e. allows someone to sue.”
So anyone on the set potentially exposed to the white powder can now sue Smollette.

The fake letter was just to set up the possibility o a fake attack.
I thought beating off 2 guys at the same time was normal for him.
This is terrorism. Could be why Empire is cutting his scenes to write his character out?
Smollett received a letter containing a white powder Jan. 22. The letter was mailed to Chicagos Cinespace Studios, where the show Empire is filmed. The letter prompted a HAZMAT response. CPD says the white substance was later determined to be aspirin.
There’s a chance — but just a chance — that Smollett will be punished for this. Two or three years ago the FBI/DOJ would have swept it under the rug.
Hey JUSSIE! Got a MAGA hat coming your way...you lying POS!
Before January 29...
When did Kamala Harris drop her federal anti-lynching bill? Hmmmm?
Notice in TMZ’s report....the Police Superintendent is outraged for gays and blacks....but NO OUTRAGE FOR WHITE MAGA FOLKS.
The Police Superintendent just expressed his outrage at Jussie Smollett for allegedly betraying the African American and LGBT communities to further his career in a “publicity stunt.” The superintendent said Smollett created the ruse because “he was dissatisfied with his salary” on “Empire.”
As one of the leaders of a hazmat team... I can’t even tell you how much time we wasted responding to “white powder incidents”. The only one which wasn’t a deliberate hoax was at a school where several envelopes that teachers had been given by the administration had enough corn starch in them them to be noticeable.
We wasted a bunch of time analyzing the powder. When we figured out what it was, we were able to track down the remaining packages of envelopes at the school administration’s headquarters (at a different location) and found a lot of powder. We called the manufacturer who said that they used the corn starch to keep the adhesive from sticking the envelopes together before they were licked, but admitted that they had recently had some issues with the machine that “sprinkles” it.
On November 28, 1987, Tawana Brawley, who had been missing for four days from her home in Wappingers Falls, New York, was found seemingly unconscious and unresponsive, lying in a garbage bag several feet from an apartment where she had once lived.

Her clothing was torn and burned, her body smeared with feces.
She was taken to the emergency room, where the words KKK, nigger, and bitch were discovered written on her torso with charcoal.[4]

Grand jury hearings
Under the authority of New York State Attorney General Robert Abrams, a grand jury was called to hear evidence.
On October 6, 1988, the grand jury released its 170-page report concluding Brawley had not been abducted, assaulted, raped and sodomized, as Brawley and her advisers said.
The report further concluded that the "unsworn public allegations against Dutchess County Assistant District Attorney Steven Pagones" were false and had no basis in fact.
Before issuing the report, the grand jury heard from 180 witnesses, saw 250 exhibits and recorded more than 6,000 pages of testimony.[5]
In the decision, the grand jury noted many problems with Brawley's story. Among these were that the rape kit results did not indicate sexual assault.
Additionally, despite saying she been held captive outdoors for days, Brawley was not suffering from hypothermia, was well-nourished, and appeared to have brushed her teeth recently.
Despite her clothing being charred, there were no burns on her body.
Although a shoe she was wearing was cut through, Brawley had no injuries to her foot.
The racial epithets written on her were upside down, which led to suspicion that Brawley had written the words.
Testimony from her schoolmates indicated she had attended a local party during the time of her supposed abduction.
One witness claimed to have observed Brawley's climbing into the garbage bag.[23]
The feces on her body were identified as coming from her neighbor's dog.[24]
Brawley never testified despite a subpoena ordering her to do so.[25][26]
On June 6, 1988, Tawana's mother Glenda Brawley was sentenced to 30 days in prison and fined $250 for contempt of court for refusing to testify at the grand jury hearing.
She evaded arrest by hiding in churches, with the police failing to arrest her, arguing it would lead to violence.[27]
The Brawley family then fled New York state, travelling around the country for several months before settling in Virginia Beach.[28]

[Update: The two men once considered suspects in the Jussie Smollett case were prepared to testify to a grand jury Tuesday, but a last-minute call from Smolletts lawyers claiming they possibly have new evidence led to prosecutors postponing the testimony.]
The letter is going to send Jussie to the Federal “pound me in the a**” prison (Office Space reference).
And conspiracy
