The lead investigator and long term Houston Police Department undercover narcotics Officer Gerald Goines lied to obtain a no-knock warrant. The no-knock warrant lead to the death of a middle-aged couple, their dog, and the wounding of four officers, at 7815 Harding Street on 28 January 2019. From abc13.com:
The search warrant clearly shows the initial information used to obtain the no-knock search warrant involved a number of lies.
In the original warrant obtained on Jan. 28, the lead case agent, Officer Gerald Goines, wrote that a confidential informant bought heroin at the house the day before the drug raid. The informant also allegedly saw heroin and a weapon, which appeared to be a 9mm handgun, as he was buying the suspected drugs at the house.
In that warrant, the informant allegedly returned to Goines with a brown powder substance, telling him that it was called boy, which is slang for heroin. The confidential informant also said the substance he allegedly bought at the home was packed in a large quantity of plastic baggies.
The Houston no-knock raid was characterized as an ambush by drug dealers. The evidence did not support that conclusion.
The two homeowners killed had no criminal record. Dennis Tuttle was a Navy veteran. His wife, Rhogena Nicholas, was a supporter of President Trump. They had been married for 20 years and lived in their modest home in Houston for the same 20 years.

I disagree.
not CAN be held culpable.
SHOULD be held culpable.
I.E - murder charges
Yep but not if its a FISA warrant to spy on Trump.
If the homeowners have any children, they and their attorney shouldn’t ever have to work again.
> What was the point of Officer Goines deception?
Auditioning for a job with Mueller. I’d guess he’ll be starting any day now.
If your a dirty cop it is all the same.(Z)
A distinction without much of a difference, as far as the target is concerned.
BUT a cop systematically SWATing people at random does far more damage than an individual citizen with a single random grudge.
Not just to the people SWATted, but to the trust we the people have in their ‘betters’.
All the more so when the “good” cops close ranks and protect the bad cop.
My BIL was a cop in the 70’s in west Texas. He stopped at my house in his patrol car one day and pulled his throw down gun wrapped in Saran Wrap out from under the seat. Said all the guys carried them. Eventually quit because he had developed an us versus them attitude, and all of his fellow cops felt the same way. Oh, and I was one of “them”.
Good discussions on this thread. Play nice.
I’m glad he had enough of a conscience to quit.
It makes one wonder about ‘all the [other] guys [who] carried them’...
This makes me think of that movie, “An Innocent Man”, starring Tom Selleck about 2 REALLY unscrupulous cops. REALLY good movie - sure makes ya think. Ya’ll should watch it it you get a chance.
So will he be charged with premeditated murder?
Houston/Harris Cty govt. was totally taken over by demoncraps last fall because the suburban women of Harris Cty were angry at uh like uh Trumps tweets uh er something.
Looks like things are turning out as expected...
Exactly. Why did Goines do it? Why did he want these people killed? It was planned. It was premeditated.
How many other people did he arrange to be murdered?
Can a society survive when so many people think that lying is justified? This event and the smollett hoax are just the most recent examples that have been in the news. How many more happen everyday that seriously affect peoples lives?

It was because of straight-ticket voting.
If the couple had been black then Obama’s current justice department/FBI would be all over it for civil rights violations. And rig9htly so,
He failed the Voight-Kampff test.
In an affidavit, you swear under penalty of perjury that the facts you set out in the document are true to the best of your knowledge. Submitting a false affidavit is perjury, and a felony. When people are killed in the commission of a felony, the person responsible is usually charged for those murders. But this is a cop, so he will most likely be forced to retire with full pension and benefits. Will likely get extra disability pay on top of his pension.
Maybe I’m jaded, but that never seems to happen to cops. At best, they’ll be fired, only to be hired by some other department in a year or two and back to their old tricks.
