Congratulations, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez! You just killed 25,000 jobs for urban Democrats in one of the most racially and ethnically diverse areas in the entire world!
Congresswoman AOC, the thought leader of the Democratic party, was the loudest and feistiest political opponent when Amazon announced it would build (half of) its second headquarters in Long Island City, Queens, promising to create 25,000 jobs and generate some $27.5 billion in tax revenue over the next 25 years. Amazon employs a range of people from unskilled workers to tech geniuses and would have pumped large amounts of money into the city economy. It estimated the average salary of its New York City workforce would have been $150,000. Real-estate prices in Long Island City jumped 15 percent since Amazons announcement last November.
But after Amazon walked away in an anti-Valentine to the city on Feb. 14, AOC bragged on Twitter that everyday New Yorkers & their neighbors defeated Amazons corporate greed, its worker exploitation, and the power of the richest man in the world.
Huh? A Siena poll this week showed that New York City residents approved of the deal by 56 to 33 percent. Fellow Democrats Gov. Andrew Cuomo and Mayor Bill de Blasio were pushing hard for the deal.

AOC is actually probably part of middle class and does not realize that other more vicious liberals are coming for her money-

I don’t think cortex is thinking socialism - I think she’s thinking, I ‘only’ make $170K as a rep, why should someone else get $150K for a 9-4 job with more benefits? Probably more her speed considering her trying-to-save-face comments that $150K was ‘crap’ wages.
Is that your own artisitic creation?
I’m thinking that she’s probably shaking a beer. Do you really think she is smart enough to mix drinks?
No I found it in the comment section on the website The People’s Cube. The founder of which escaped from communism and produces this website which is a satire on the left and its communist roots.

Yes, I’ve heard of them.
And the hits keep coming for AOC.
AOC and/or her chief of staff may have committed major ethics violation.

Wow @AOC denies her boyfriend is on her staff and yet this official document lists him on your staff
Starting to look like a major ethics violation and you lied to cover it up. https://t.co/7QyMfm4y4b

(Hernan Cortes basically erased the mega-city of Tenochtitlan, erased the Aztec Empire, conquered Cuba, conquered Mexico... all in about 13 years.)
He nailed it. The “thinkers” of our era are deep as a thimble.
I hope AOC is the VP nomination for 2020. That will result in a complete sweep of electoral votes... for the GOP
I must “redistribute” that image!
My guess is that the media was eager to find a new face that could counteract the tired, old Democrats that have been running things since the Clinton Era. Cortez and Beto were two of these fresh faces, and in typical fashion, were media darlings.
Then Cortez actually defeats the old white guy, and the optics of it were irresistible.
Now, they're finding out that she wasn't exactly who they thought she was; or hoped she was. But it's hard for them to tear down someone that they placed on a pedestal. And the GOP seems to be comfortable in giving her free rein. Why not? She's a gift to those who want to demonstrate the mental disorder that is liberalism.
Nothing is more unreliable than the populace, nothing more obscure than human intentions, nothing more deceptive than the whole electoral system’’.- Cicero.
Bug Eyes is the product of the people who put her in office. As crazy as she is she could end up in The White House someday. We’re in dangerous times.
Most likely everything she is proposing has been tried and failed at some point. She isn't held accountable for any of it.
This what we get after years of calling a reduction in the rate of growth a “cut.”
