Seems like I read it was actually about 25,000 jobs.

The libtards also vetoed Walmart from building a store in the city a few years ago. I guess government bennies are better than working for a living.

They didn’t learn anything from the Staten Island Navy Port
Fiasco.

The people of Bronx will continue to vote against prosperity.

The WHOLE POINT of a second headquarter is to gradually relocate out of tax-happy California without being accused of fleeing and I guess they just now figured out that New York is just as tax-thirsty.

Next stop will be Virginia where they can import a bunch of Cali socialists who can keep the state from flipping red.

All money at the government level is not standardized according to a tangible production item (Gross Domestic Product). Rather, it is secondhand money provided by those who contribute to the GDP.

Typical leftist. It’s like being in a lifeboat in the middle of the ocean, and shooting a hole in the bottom. “Just to keep it real”.

de Blasio said: "Instead of working with the community, Amazon threw away that opportunity. We have the best talent in the world and every day we are growing a stronger and fairer economy for everyone. If Amazon can’t recognize what that’s worth, its competitors will.”

Which competitor Mr.dB? Sears and Roebuck?

Bezos and his team are leftist until it hurts the bottom line or their ability to manage how they seem fit. Amazon NYC was going to unionize ASAP and that was a big sticking point. There was a NYC council man on Cavutos Fox business show the other day and he said as much. “Amazon doesn’t share our NYC values” blah blah blah blah blah.

Amazon is headquartered in Seattle, not California.

relocate out of tax-happy California
maybe even out of Seattle

.

Next stop will be Virginia
Amazon is already in Virginia, in Herndon, Ashburn, Chantilly, Sterling, Winchester, Springfield and probably other places. Just last fall they announced another 25,000 jobs in Arlington, VA for HQ2. A lot of those workers will choose to live in DC and ride the metro to work.
Virginia might turn red again if the voters remember the current dimocrat mess in Richmond on election day.

Imagine how many rich socialists who had inside knowledge on Amazon HQ2, thus bought land in anticipation of that, and just got their ass handed to them. Glorious!

Socialism would be to subsidize the company, which is what the plan was.

Gov’t “stimulus” benefits cronies only.

Real Capitalism doesn’t subsidize business.

Subsidizing business is anti-taxpayer, but pro-business.

How about we have politicians who are pro-market, instead of taking sides?

So why not go through the proper channels, Kaiser, instead of having closed-door meetings? Plus most people just think the payoff was way too large out of our tax dollars.
