So-Called Protector of the First Amendment Gets a T-Shirt Banned Because It's 'Offensive' to Journalists
In the age of Trump, journalists have been repeatedly called out by the commander-in-chief as "fake news." After a barrage of corrections or full retractions on "breaking news" stories covering everything from the Russia investigation, smearing high school boys and border security, many in the media have roundly earned the label.
But the leftist "defenders of Democracy," who parade under the guise of journalists, seem to only want First Amendment protections for themselves. After all, to them conservative media doesn't count and they believe anything critical of journalists who let their leftist bias get in the way of the facts should be condemned.
The latest example of this came through a t-shirt being sold at Bloomingdale's.
So we don’t get the name of the journalist?
It should be pointed out that left started it. I’ve read for years references to “Faux News.” What does “faux” mean?
Allison Kaden I think is the name. In the article.
TWEET: Stephen Miller
The shirt was first identified by Allison Kaden, a journalist at New York Citys CW affiliate PIX11, .
Poor little snowflake was offended. Think Jimmy Breslin or Mike Royko would have reacted like this? Shame on Bloomingdale’s for caving.
It’s French for fake
The image would be captioned "FAKE GNUS".
When President Trump took office, the Washinton Post suddenly decided to adopt a motto for its masthead:
“Democracy Dies in Darkness.”
I thought this was pretty hypocritical since the Washington Post IS the Darkness.
(Albeit along with every other MSM organization which slavishly takes DNC talking points as its daily guidance for news reporting.)
They look like real gnus to me. Now if we photo shop the heads on to a hippo’s body..............Just sayin’.
To really tweak the liberal/left:
Above the picture (of say, a pen full of filthy pigs):
“You don’t have to have horns to self-identify as a Gnu...”
Below the picture:
“So stop calling us Fake Gnus!! “
There was one shirt from the early ‘00’s that said:
“Rope, Tree, Journalist... Some assembly required.”
Exactly.
Gotta suck when a fake news “journalist” is so pained and upset by the truth that they can’t stand it...kind of bolsters those who call them fake news....
Well we all know just exactly where that would get you today. Yup, a suspect in the event that never happened to some entity called ‘juicy’ in the windy city.
thanks
thanks
“... every other MSM organization which slavishly takes DNC talking points as its daily guidance for news reporting.”
Or does the DNC take it talking points from the MSM?
My personal view is that the relationship between the MSM and DNC is symbiotic. The DNC (and Democratic politicians) generate content for the MSM to uncritically consume.
MSM is staffed by liberal journalists who naturally favor the Democratic Party. More importantly, MSM needs a constant flow of content and the political content that it prefers is left/liberal and anything negative about Republicans. Since the DNC develops and publishes this type of content on a daily basis, MSM is only too happy to report it along with the biased political content that it develops on its own.
You may also have noticed that the major MSM outlets now directly employ undisguised Democratic Party activists on staff as “commentators.” This embedding gives the party an advisory seat at the editorial table in determining what content is selected and the politically correct meme that is used in interpreting and publishing it.
There is a feedback loop in the comments that articles generate. Strong positive or strong negative determines whether or not a particular political stance continues unchanged, gets modified, or is discontinued/replaced with the next political controversy de jour.
