Now that both the House and Senate have cleared Donald Trump of Democrat-inspired allegations of Russian collusion, it is worth revisiting one anecdote that escaped significant attention during the hysteria but continues to have U.S. security implications.
As secretary of State, Hillary Clinton worked with Russian leaders, including Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and then-President Dmitri Medvedev, to create U.S. technology partnerships with Moscows version of Silicon Valley, a sprawling high-tech campus known as Skolkovo.
ADVERTISEMENT Clintons handprint was everywhere on the 2009-2010 project, the tip of a diplomatic spear to reboot U.S.-Russian relations after years of hostility prompted by Vladimir Putins military action against the former Soviet republic and now U.S. ally, Georgia.
A donor to the Clinton Foundation, Russian oligarch Viktor Vekselberg, led the Russian side of the effort, and several American donors to the Clinton charity got involved. Clintons State Department facilitated U.S. companies working with the Russian project, and she personally invited Medvedev to visit Silicon Valley.
The collaboration occurred at the exact same time Bill Clinton made his now infamous trip to Russia to pick up a jaw-dropping $500,000 check for a single speech.
The former presidents trip secretly raised eyebrows inside his wifes State Department, internal emails show.

Clinton accepted bags full of money from China. The double standard gives them no moral authority whatsoever.
The #1 go-to in the Clinton & Co. Playbook is the “Accuse the accuser” ploy. Whatever your own wrongdoings, you accuse those who could pursue you for your crimes, thus innoculating yourself from prosecution.
The “Steele Dossier” was Russian collusion, as Russians were the sources of many of the claims in the dossier. No one should think that Putin was not aware of what Steele was up to, and for whom. Nor should anyone think Putin was not connected to many of Steele’s Russian sources.
That ‘single speech’ by Clinton lasted 20 minutes....
That calculates to his fee being $1,500,000 for an hour of ‘work’.
bkmk
Can there be any doubt how this all started?
Hillary, throwing a hi-ball glass across the room in early 2016:
"What!!!! Why am I under FBI investigation for my secret server???? You stupid [expletive deleted]s had better get an FBI investigation started on Trump RIGHT NOW to even the score or the last thing you see will be the historic cannons of Fort Marcy Park!!!"
