Pelosi Statement on State of the Union Address
February 6, 2019
Washington, D.C. – Speaker Nancy Pelosi issued this statement after President Trump delivered his State of the Union Address:
“Tonight, the President spoke about the honor of being in the House Chamber, and all the progress that has been achieved here. But at the same time, he threatened the United States Congress not to exercise its constitutional responsibility of oversight.
“It will take days to fact-check all the misrepresentations that the President made tonight. Instead of fear-mongering and manufacturing a crisis at the border, President Trump should commit to signing the bipartisan conference committee’s bill to keep government open and provide strong, smart border security solutions.
“Sadly, while talking about perceived threats to the safety of the American people, he completely ignored the gun violence epidemic that is claiming lives across the country.
“The President’s call for ending HIV transmission in America is interesting, but if he is serious about ending the HIV/AIDS crisis, he must end his assault on health care and the dignity of the LGBTQ community.
“With the complicity of the GOP Congress over the last two years, President Trump failed the middle class by trying to take away Americans’ health care and enriching the wealthiest 1 percent. The state of the American middle class has been weakened by President Trump’s special interest first agenda.
“The President said that he wanted to work to lower prescription drug prices and build America’s infrastructure. Thus far, the President has not put forward any real proposals. Now, with a new House Democratic Majority working For The People, the President has an opportunity to join us to deliver real progress in lowering the price of prescription drugs and making the bold investments needed to rebuild America’s infrastructure in a green and modern way.
“President Trump must now take concrete steps to work with Democrats to strengthen the health and economic security of families across America. After two years of the President’s empty words, the American people deserve real results.”
Pelosi is just fine with a wall around her million dollar estate in California. Protecting her property. But a wall protecting Americans?
She no like.
There is no redeeming from her deeming and scheming.
The only way the press could bring down Trump’s speech was to say he lied about a bunch of stuff. That’s all they have.

Dear Nancy, we have guaranteed rights, and one of those is to own and carry guns. You can study the U. S. Constitution, but you will never find an amendment attached that ensures foreign nationals the right to enter our nation as illegal aliens.
What some individuals do with their guns displays individual low moral fiber, but none the less, free will.
We do not toss the baby out with the bath water. That would be an ignorant thing to do. We do no do away will all gun rights because a very low percentage of people use them to commit crime including murders.
Poor women with relationship problems have a right to defend themsleves and their children from the attacks of a strong male figure, where a relationship does or does not exist.
You have no right whatsoever to take that away from her. NONE!
As for the LGBTXYZ people, I do not advocate to deny them rights. I do not advocate for them having special rights either. Why do you?
We are all protected from attack. What LBGTXYZ person lacks that same guarantee? You are once again GUILTY of making up stuff to fool people into thinking you gave a damn about them, to secure their vote. What possible thing can you do legally, to make their lives better? Zip Nancy. You know it, and we know it.
Nancy, I am keeping more of my money this April vs last year. People across this nation are. They are also getting larger paychecks than they were in 2017. You are a damnable liar when it comes to the middle class vs more wealthy people. Once again, not having anything decent to suggest for the nation, or any inclination to get behind other decent legislation you didn’t come up with, you veer into lying and misrepresentations to fool people. You’re not fooling anyone.
If you too all the wealth of the wealthiest U. S. Citizens, it would not balance our budget or end deficit spending. All it would do is destroy wealth. It would also destroy investments, jobs, new growth, and our economy.
You are delusional.
If you had kept your composure last night and listened, you would have heard that the president has made some headway on drug pricing. He voiced concerns that we all share about medications costing more in the U. S. than across our borders.
Look Nancy, it doesn’t always take new legislation or attacking an industry to make headway. The president let it be known that he/we are not happy with drug pricing. Some manufacturers reacted by modifying their plans and pricing.
Nobody who has to purchase medication is happy about the cost. Some of the medications today allow people to avoid more costly care such as surgery.
Legislation is not the first line of protections. It is merely one more step of big government into the private affairs of the nation.
Sadly, you have no clue what good governance truly is.

I wish that somehow only LEGAL American citizens could vote into law once and for all whether or not to build a wall and also vote into law whether or not to send illegals back to where they came from AND....

Your health and economic stability is not the business of government. It is your personal responsibility. If one ceded those obligations to others, they have become a slave to crumbs and scraps with a $5000 yearly copay for band aids and sulfa drugs.

In fact it will save more cash on the interest due alone.

One day I called Ben Nighthorse Campbell’s office regarding an upcoming vote on an abortion issue. His office told me that he would vote the way he sees fit.
So mu ‘assumptions’ aren’t that, at all. Add to that the published facts that up to 80% of the people agree with Trump’s immigration/wall policies, and there you have it. The house doesn’t give a rat’s petutie about the people, or what they want, or care about. All they want is $$$ and power.
