Photos of Northam at medical school show him standing with a man in the same plaid pants as the KKK-blackface photo.
Here is a Northam friend in the plaid pants in a regular college shot — And then in the blackface shot.
The pants were featured in another Northam college shot.
Ralph Northam is on the left.
But the man on the right is wearing the same plaid pants as the blackfaced fellow in the yearbook.
"Keith Matthews is the plaid pants. Northam is taller than him. He can't be the KKK guy. Whatever. I just roll with it. Drama for them is fine by me."

So you are saying that whatever the black guy is sitting on is not the same thing Northam is standing on?
If he’d had good taste in clothing, he would never have been caught dead in those plaid pants!

Yup. One suspects that this is the Dems' stealth denouncing and purging a liability from the party (his post birth comments would, um, "live" a life of their own and force other Dems to comment and be accountable to voters). The prank provides a noisy sideshow, just what they need.

It’s pretty “complete” coverage .... I’ve thought all along Ralphie was the one in the sheets and I haven’t changed my mind. Being in the sheets is by far the more damaging, IMO.

Well that’s an assumption. Yearbooks aren’t something you pay attention to once you move on from school.
My sophomore high school yearbook put someone else’s name under my picture. You don’t have any control over it and you don’t even know until the yearbook is printed. There’s no way to change it.
As far as a charge of racism, that’s a bludgeon that is infinitely expandable. Next week wearing a sombrero and huaraches will be racism. So will dressing as an American Indian. When you keep fueling the Left’s claims to be America’s morality police you let them run the country.

That’s pretty much what he’s been doing. For once the liberal hyena pack is attacking one of their own, so we get to sit back and watch the show. The longer he hangs tough, the crazier they will all get.
If you look at the two pairs of pants in the two photos they are not the same pair of pants, look at the strips by the zipper on both pairs they do not line up the same.
You are right. It could have been a mistake, but like Liz says, why would anyone at the school choose a photo of two unrelated people in a racist pic (it would have been considered so back in the 80s, even if it was funny, that is the dark humor of it) to place on that person’s yearbook page?
A high school mixing up people’s names (like in your case) is one kind of error. Finding a Halloween racist joke photo that is unrelated to the person and putting that photo on their medical school page or anyone’s page is highly unsavory. If there was a Costume Party Page, and the school included that pic, no problem. But why would some yearbook worker put THAT photo on the page of a student for posterity? Doesn’t make sense.
Does not mean they can’t be played. If nothing else RATs are good at disinformation.
