N.J. Democrats threaten to toss Trump from the 2020 ballot

Democratic state lawmakers in New Jersey aren’t done seeking President Donald Trump’s tax returns.

Some members of the state Legislature have revived legislation that would require candidates for president and vice president to disclose their tax returns from the previous five years to appear on the ballot in the Garden State.

The bill would also ban New Jersey’s voters in the electoral college from voting for a candidate that did not do so.

That would affect Trump, a Republican who in 2016 became the first presidential candidate in four decades not to release his returns, if he runs for re-election in 2020.

The only way they could get away with it is because Justice Roberts does not believe in the constitution.

It’s right there in the Constitution. Article 2 section 1 Clause 5

“No person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President; neither shall any person be eligible to that Office who shall not have attained to the Age of thirty five Years, and been fourteen Years a Resident within the United States. And if you happen to be a bad orange man, you must release your tax returns.”

Thanks for pointing out to me that SCOTUS has repeatedly knocked down such an extra-constitutional requirement!

Good F—ing luck with that. New Jersey Dems will be paying for Trump’s campaign. These people have come unglued. I don’t know what their problem is. Best economy in 4 generations, more people employed now than ever in history, favorable trade deals, what is the problem? They must be pissed the he has shown the marxist muslim mullato messiah to be the loser we all know he is.

Great to learn hear on this thread that SCOTUS has struck down similar attempts regarding ballot access.

What with way too many spineless republicans not having the courage to have President Trump’s back, I suppose we deplorables won’t have to rise up.

Praying that the forces conspiring against our magnificent POTUS won’t be successful in any effort to thwart his reelection.

Exactly. The Constitution provides the only requirements to be president. A dumb-ss state like NJ can’t add to that. Typical Leftists though.

Sounds like their focus groups are predicting a win for President Trump in spite of their projected dead voters and illegals voting for the rats.

So. they will try not putting him on the ballot!

He’s not winning New Jersey anyway. He might as well disregard if NJ is the only state that passes it.

Demonic state lawmakers in New Jersey continue their hate-fest for Trump. What is wrong with them? Do they not know what their responsibilities entail? Why are they wasting tax dollars?

People don’t vote for a Presidential candidate—they vote for electors pledged to vote for the nominee of their party. That’s why Democrats try to “flip” electors whenever the race is very close.

So the left continues its march towards a communist dictatorship.

Everybody must be allowed to vote as many time as possible and then only for the candidates we approve.
