You’re slipping, Jeff.
I added ‘BANGLIST’ to Keywords.
;-)
The Second Amendment is very clear.
This should be the law of the land across the nation.
It specifically talks about being able to carry. Why is it allowed for this Amendment to be abused like none other?
A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.
The people have been given this right by God. It is not negotiable. I have a right to defend myself, and no government should be able to nullify that human right.
Here are some pseudonyms:
be about to
be obliged
intend
must
want to
will
While some of these are a little awkward, they make it crystal clear this is not up for discussion!
Pseudonyms missing:
could
may
might
And missing, these make it all the more clear.
This should not be a State Rights issue!
The federal government has guaranteed every citizen inalienable rights. The Second Amendment is one of them, and is specifically enumerated as a God given right, no man or human entity should be able to deny.
The test here is some of the other Amendments. Can a state do away with a civil rights issue related to race, just because the state wants to? Can it deny equal access, just because it wants to?
It’s quite clear, no states, counties, or cities should be able to slice away our our Second Amendment rights, or any other rights in the U. S. Constitution.
Good. I was assured their governor would sign the bill, and she has.
Excellent news!
Outstanding.
