A series of prominent Democrats demanded Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam's resignation on Friday, excoriating him for appearing in a racist yearbook photo showing one person dressed in blackface and another in the KKK's signature white hood and robes.
The calls came from a number of 2020 presidential candidates, members of Congress and prominent liberal organizations, all of whom said Northam's apology on the issue was not enough. The NAACP also called for Northam to leave office. Those calls, however, were not echoed by Virginia Democrats, including Sens. Tim Kaine and Mark Warner. Both said they were shocked and offended by the photos, but in separate statements both said it was time for the governor to think about what comes next for him and to listen to those he has offended. Northam, for his part, has vowed to finish his one and only term as Virginia governor, issuing a video statement on Friday evening where he apologized but pledged to remain in office.

Dan Merica on Clinton-Non-News, spinning like the dickens to cover for Northam's fellow Klansmen. Thanks tcrlaf.
Meanwhile, the Chicago queen's MAGA hat hoax fell right off the map. Amazing. Shows that even PMS (Partisan Media Shills) can learn something about PR and move beyond their 1D chess.

Now he wants forgiveness. He is not the same man. It was not him in the picture and he never saw the yearbook before as he did not buy a copy.
His main nickname was Goose. Says only 2 upperclassmen called him Coonman, and he does not know why. We are suppossed to see his honor. Lollol.
Well, he’s in luck - the liberal press will believe any lie that falls from a democrat’s mouth...
Well, he’s in luck - the liberal press will believe any lie that falls from a democrat’s mouth... They won’t even attempt to track down the ‘other’ person in the photo - a democrat’s word is good enough for them.
Now he says he is a strong believer in God!
Bottom line he is not resigning. He plans to continue to lead. If he can not, he will revisit and make decisions.
Too many questions about his character now. He’s going to have to resign. I still say Mon.
He dressed up as Michael Jackson with just a bit of shoe polish on his face???????????????
Smile, well we don’t. We don’t know they are either though.
When he stated that he has never seen that picture, on his page, in his yearbook, before yesterday, the immediate follow-up should have been- Governor, how stupid do you believe the people of Virginia are?
Even three year old children have an internal sense of right and wrong.
He’s gotta go!
Some kids don’t buy their yearbook.
It’s possible he hadn’t seen it.
I’m somewhat skeptical of that, but it may be he saw it long ago once or twice and forgot about it until now.
These days that sort of thing is looked at with very jaundiced eyes. I think it is a poor thing to make light of the KKK. It was a terrible group.
Back then it was a lark, some stupid kid and an ill thought out idea that he thought would get a laugh.
Well, the damage is done now.
Look before you leap, isn’t just about crevices & canyons.
Do it again, dress up as KKK or in blackface?
Yeah, really. I have no idea if that was him or not though.
You know, I used to think 21 was the end of maturity. Boy you hit 21 and you were a MAN. As I have aged, I have realized that 21 in many cases, isn’t what I’d term an adult man.
Yes, he should have known better, if he in fact was in that photo.
If he just dressed up at another time to impersonate Michael Jackson, I have no problem with it.
It’s a form of flattery if you think about it. He was emulating Jackson. That’s nothing so bad for a White kid to do IMO. At one time Jackson was an incredibly talented young man. There was a least one album of his I thought was very creative, possibly two.
