A Virginia lawmaker sent an email to her constituents Wednesday night apologizing for attaching her name to a controversial abortion bill without reading it closely enough.
In a newsletter, Del. Dawn Adams, D-Richmond, said she "did not exercise due diligence" before co-sponsoring the abortion legislation with Del. Kathy Tran, D-Fairfax. Tran became the focus of a social media firestorm this week after Republicans circulated video of her saying the bill would allow abortions up until the moment of birth if one doctor certified that the mother's physical or mental health was at risk.
"I made a mistake, and all I know to do is to admit it, tell the truth, and let the chips fall where they may," said Adams, a first-term delegate who won a close upset victory in 2017 in her suburban district and could face a competitive re-election campaign this year.

Mental health at risk can mean they might get a headache.
Hey dumbsh*t read the bill before you sponsor it. Although I think in this case she must have gotten some ferocious feedback and is now attempting to back pedal.
Well you have fire up the shredders to see what’s in the shredders, you see.

IOW, neither she nor Tran is fit for office, but she's even worse than Tran. Beating her should be a slam dunk, but knowing how Pubbie candidates don't get vetted until after they've been nominated or win their primaries...
Next, we’ll hear that her dog peed on the document she had to read, obscuring the part where it told of murdering full term babies.
note to Adams: never go full Nancy ‘pass it before you read it’ Pelosi.
Isn’t she, basically, admitting to gross incompetence?
“well, if I had actually read the bill, I wouldn’t have, you know, put my name on the bill”.
Should that level of stupid be allowed to make laws?
If she just voted for it, would be bad enough.
But she CO SPONSORED the bill.
What new kind of a moron is she?????
A caller to talk radio 820AM WBAP said it best today. He called it human sacrifice.
Democrats dont like to read their own legislation. Yes, were very familiar with that.
The only conclusion that I can arrive at considering recent events is that law is Evil, and being that this country is founded on the “rule of law”, we have a very serious existential problem on our hands at this point.
>> the mother’s physical or mental health was at risk.
The Democrat thugs promoting this garbage are very, very dangerous individuals.
Kathy Tran with her beautiful daughter - how can she be such a monster as to legalize killing babies? I cannot grasp how she rationalizes it to herself.
Watch, if your have thw patience (I do not) and she will be handily re-elected.
It is the democrat way, don't you see.
Thats an excellent analogy.
Sure. Get her out of there. We need a Republican pick up here.
Back when, I remember the fetus being called a ‘mindless mass of tissues’ so no problem scraping it off. A baby right before birth is no longer even called a fetus...it’s easier to scrape out a fetus, but a BABY?? And mom and doctor are the murderers?? Dear Lord, deliver us from this evil.
Every state should have a requirement that when you vote on a bill as a legislator....you sign a document which says you actually read the document, and if it later comes up that you didn’t...a statement on your form will confirm your immediate termination to your office and denial of any future position within the state government.
>>Can these Nazis in training be recalled?<<
From now on I’m going to refer to all Democrats as Josef Mengele, there is literally no difference.
Perhaps the DNC’s 2020 convention could bypass their keynote speaker and have their future candidate Tran perform a live abortion before the nation....
