Stacey Abrams will deliver the Democratic response to President Donald Trump’s State of the Union address next week, giving the former gubernatorial candidate one of the nation’s most prominent pulpits as she considers whether to run for U.S. Senate in 2020.
Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer told reporters he asked her to deliver the address, which will air shortly after Trump finishes his address to a joint session of Congress next week, because “she has led the charge for voting rights, which is at the root of just about everything else.”
The speech will be a pivotal moment for Abrams, who narrowly lost last year’s gubernatorial race to Republican Brian Kemp and refused to formally concede the race, citing his refusal to step down as the state’s top elections official.

Does a president usually give a copy of the SOTU address to the opposition party so they can draft a “proper” response? If so, Trump should either not give them one, or give them a different one from the speech he’ll actually give.

Why are they complaining about voting rights? What they mean is the fight to avoid having to show ID to vote. You do have to show ID to vote in GA, one reason that Marxist moron lost.

Apparently Dems think asking for ID and registering in advance is restricting voter rights and oppressing minority voters. They think you should just be able walk in to any precinct and say, “here I am, gimme my ballot!”
That’s pretty much what the Dems are trying to pass with HR1.
Interesting given that she does not currently hold any elective office.
Combined with Kamala Harris’ announcement it tells me the Dems are looking to recapture the old melanin + vaginas coalition that immaculated Obummer for two terms.

They are ALL losers. Some happened to get more votes for their candidacy/office than their opponent, but all these dummocraps are losers. They have no loyalty to the United States and are all about the quickest way to become France, Germany, or Britain--countries who gave away their sovereignty on a silver platter to subhuman invaders they themselves invited in and gave lavish welcome to.
They want to obliterate our borders, let anyone in, let anyone vote, but the resident U.S. citizens are on the hook to pay for this all. And once in, they want to give everyone a guaranteed income, free college (let the stupid U.S. citizens strive for years to save up enough to send their kids to college), free medical care, free everything.
Do you see some kind of pattern of brain disease here? An almost complete incapability of rational thought, of judgment, of common sense? An ability to make snap judgments based on few if any facts? Those seem to be the hallmarks of modern dummocraps. They are robotic and predictable, and downright scary.

I wouldn’t be surprised if I.D. restrictions cut Democrat votes by 30% to 40% nearly everywhere. They would lose almost every race except in the most heavy D districts.
