APNewsBreak: FBI finds no specific motive in Vegas shooting
MSN News ^ | 1/29/2019 | KEN RITTER and MICHAEL BALSAMO

Posted on 01/29/2019 12:14:35 PM PST by detective

A high-stakes gambler who rained a hail of gunfire down on a crowd of country music fans, killing 58, took any specific motive for the 2017 attack to his grave, the FBI said Tuesday as it concluded the investigation into the deadliest mass shooting in modern U.S. history.

The agency found no "single or clear motivating factor" to explain why Stephen Paddock carried out the attack from his suite in a high-rise casino hotel. The 64-year-old fatally shot himself as police closed in.

"It wasn't about MGM, Mandalay Bay or a specific casino or venue," Aaron Rouse, the agent in charge of the FBI's Las Vegas office, told The Associated Press. "It was all about doing the maximum amount of damage and him obtaining some form of infamy."

The finding was contained in a long-awaited report compiled by the FBI's Behavior Analysis Unit, a group of experts who spent months examining several factors that might have led to the rampage.

"This report comes as close to understanding the why as we're ever going to get," Rouse said.

It’s totally normal for governments to conduct undercover ops.

And in such ops, one of the only ways u can get good info about what bad actors are trying to buy military weapons inside your country would be to pose as a seller —someone with an apparently “bad” background suggesting he really was involved in such illicit activity.

To catch bad guy you must appear bad, preferably actually BE somewhat bad.

You would sell them a little so/so stuff at first, get your name out there. Later you’d sell some more so/so stuff. Still later you’d sell some pretty good stuff, finally a LOT of good stuff.

And you’d be collecting info on these buyers all along, getting their info and figuring out who the big guys were, further up the pipeline, where the big money was coming from.

All this would be a totally legit part of governance and keeping your people safe.

But people in the field are WILLFUL —they can’t always be predictable, and very many are not. You also can’t be sure that all of your people are going to exercise good security.

Paddock probably set up his sell in a casino to get them on camera as much as possible. To him this was probably just another routine sell, something he’d done many times before.

Except THIS time arms buyers were acting on info that their target —MBS— was right upstairs. THAT is why they asked Paddock to meet them all the way up there:

So that after knocking off their seller, they’d simply have to scale a few flights of stairs and kill their target at the Saudi-owned Four Seasons, upstairs.

But their info was bad, MBS was at the Tropicana, he wasn’t upstairs at The Four Seasons as they’d thought.

To make good their escape after killing Paddock they needed a DIVERSION, something to radically boost the workload of the responding officers.

So they showered the concert outside with gunfire in order to generate chaos, then slip away amidst that chaos.

But the mags weren’t pre-loaded, that’s why there were long gaps in the shooting. And SWAT was able to respond pretty fast, so the killer pair were trapped.

They offeed themselves in the hotel room.

What we had at the Mandalay was a Saudi struggle for succession that played out overseas, where royals don’t have nearly the same degree of control or security.

FBI starts investigating a heinous crime committed in 2017. In early 2019, no arrests, no motives, no nuthin. case closed.

FBI starts investigating Trump during his campaign in 2016. In 2019, two arrests for unrelated crimes, one guy rotting in prison for unrelated crimes, one former Admiral whose career is over for not lying, no evidence of any sort of wrongdoing of the sort they are actually looking for ever found. And that investigation goes on and on and on

Well said.

Not only does the FBI know nothing, but they have the audacity to not even address the inconsistencies and the bizarre events before and after the shootings.

This comes at a time when no one should believe anything the FBI says due to their corruption at the top.

Russia, Russia, Russia. The FBI is too busy running a coup to be bothered with this.

Maybe the motive was infamy for his life.

On the other hand, possibly overlooked by the FBI, is that he was batshit crazy and just wanted to strike out at people in general.

Or, he was auditioning for a part if “Sixth Sense” because “he saw dead people”.

If you start with “crazy”, a lot of things get cleared up right fast.

I know one victim of this tragedy. I pray the families of those sacrificed in this FF somehow find justice.

Anyone with a little bit of searching skills will find out Paddock was working for ISIS.

The FBI and media are blocking it out because they don’t want to place the spotlight on mooslimbs.
