Saturday on Fox News Channels Americas News HQ, Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-TX) defended the deal President Donald Trump had announced to reopen the federal government on Friday.
Gohmert told host Kristin Fisher the deal was not a cave to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (R-CA), but instead the first round of many in the battle over border wall funding.
No, I dont think that hes caved to Speaker Pelosi, Gohmert said. This is round one of a, you know, 12-round bout, maybe 15. So and this is a very strategic move on the presidents part. I was visiting him at the White House on Wednesday, and I know what he is doing. This is a good move on his part. He has not capitulated on the wall. The problem is when youre dealing with leaders in a party who are more concerned with political victories than they are about protecting the country, then you really have a tough time. Then when youve got a Senate that has people that got elected to do nothing as Republicans except make Trumps life miserable, its a tough area to navigate.

I suppose retreat and surrender are tactics.
They just don’t really get you anything.
Napoleon used tactics at Waterloo.
In high school football this is known as the inside trap play.
In 3 weeks he gets the wall or uses an emergency declaration....the rest of this caterwauling is nonsense.
So when did you earn your first billion?
From the article:

This from a R senator who is well regarded on FR. He is calling out the RINO's and at the same time giving folks an idea of Trump's uphill battle. He is literally surrounded by treachery coming from his own camp.
This is about national security and every real American should be proud of Trump's will power and supportive of his efforts.
In 3 weeks he gets the wall or uses an emergency declaration....the rest of this caterwauling is nonsense.
That same statement could have been true 3 weeks ago. He does not have to wait to declare National Emergency. It just gives dems time to prepare response and line up liberal fed judge. Sorry, Trump is not the mastermind you think he is.
"Trump's problem is having to deal with people like Pelosi and Schumer, party leaders who are more concerned
with political victories than about protecting the country. And a Senate w/ people that got elected to do nothing as
Republicans except make Trumps life miserable. Its a tough area to navigate.
Rope-a-dope?
“...In 3 weeks he gets the wall or uses an emergency declaration....”
Yes, the anti-American RATS will NEVER give Trump anything. He will use a declared emergency and start the wall plans. There is no other course for our Republic and Trump knows it. Hopefully, he will broaden the scope of the emergency past just the wall putting other actions and orders in place to address the horrid illegal alien situation we are faced with.
Just like football. If we throw an interception and they score then maybe we can score later.
Not a retreat. The Coast Guard, Border Patrol, and other essential DHS and airport traffic controllers all have to be paid. Basically, Trump put them and their families ahead of playing Nancy’s stupid games.
Tony, would you prefer a “normal” politician?
Have you ever done business negotiations?
Please explain why I should believe the avalanche of your bull-obama.
So when did you earn your first billion?

LMAO
That is a wonderful comeback.
Filing it away for use in the future.
In three weeks he can build the wall. DACA gets nothing and can blame the dems for that. Shut down again? Tough biscuits. nan will be blamed this time.
Gohmert should be AG.
It was going to court no matter what. He’s light years ahead of every GOP president since Reagan.
Yep. No DACA will be the dems fault.
That’s kind of my point. Thanks for agreeing!
FReegards!
