From what I just watched; the President gave a good part of the SOTU speech at 2:35 eastern time in front of the WH.
There’s no way he threw in any towel. He went on and on about how a barrier/wall is one part, but a vital part, of the border security upgrades needed.
I think he will declare and emergency if the commie dems keep sucking their thumbs and sticking them in their butts.

I just wish He had some assistance from other elected Republicans. Nancy has been yammering since this shut down began that she would not negotiate until the shutdown ended. He has fought harder than any elected official I have seen in my lifetime, and I fully believe he will impact illegal immigration in a positive way. He could regain the initiative by firing those 6 air traffic controllers who nearly paralyzed east coast air travel today.
President Trump has already set the record for the longest shutdown ever. Perhaps he’s stalling for time until RBG dies. Then we don’t have to depend on the undependable Roberts for the Emergency wall not to be struck down by the Court of Supreme Whim.

Mr. President, you have been played. Pelosi and the Dems will never fund a wall, she will not allow you to deliver SOTU in her house, and when you declare a national emergency for the military to build the wall, you will be impeached and removed. You have lost all of Congress.
Watch Pelosi declare when you are impeached and out of office, to be the President regardless of the 25th Amendment. She will insist that if not installed in the White House, the military will not be funded. Even worse, declares Martial Law.
The end game with these socialists is total control.

As the emergency is declared, the border must close.
