WASHINGTON — President Trump said he would look for alternative venues for his State of the Union address on Tuesday, appearing to capitulate after Speaker Nancy Pelosi again told him she would not invite him to deliver it at the House until the government reopens.
The decision came after a tit-for-tat between Mr. Trump and Ms. Pelosi over the State of the Union address.....It had concluded, at least by late afternoon, with Mr. Trump declaring at the White House, “The State of the Union has been canceled by Nancy Pelosi because she doesn’t want to hear the truth.”

Dear Ms. Speaker:
I am in receipt of your letter of the 23rd, stating the House will not consider a concurrent resolution authorizing the President’s State of the Union speech in the House Chamber.
Our legal team cannot find any requirement for such a concurrent resolution, in the Constitution or in any United States Code of Law.
Expect my advance team to be in the chamber at 2:00PM EST on January 29, 2019. They will be there to set up my microphone, podium, and speaker system. They will be accompanied by Secret Service personnel who will be heavily armed with automatic weapons should any terrorist think to strike at that time, or when I am there to deliver the SOTU address.
See you on the 29th!

Nancy took the bate. As Trump noted how many of the Dems he personally knows are leaving the Democrat party.
He could hold it in a huge Aircraft hanger at Camp David for all that it matters, and seat them on folding chairs. With the Vindictive Botox at the back the furthermost from the bathroom with a camera in her face so we can see all the faces she makes as she has to face all those Angel Moms/Dads and relatives. This President has a Spine and fights dirty when he needs to, that is why we chose him.

He shall from time to time give to the Congress information of the state of the union, and recommend to their consideration such measures as he shall judge necessary and expedient; he may, on extraordinary occasions, convene both Houses, or either of them, and in case of disagreement between them, with respect to the time of adjournment, he may adjourn them to such time as he shall think proper; he shall receive ambassadors and other public ministers; he shall take care that the laws be faithfully executed, and shall commission all the officers of the United States.
From that 1 statement "he may adjourn them to such time as he shall think proper" he can choose the spot and adjourn congress if I read it right.
Aren't there huge banquet rooms in the WH? Rose Garden, or Trump Tower?
He can make the address from the Senate chamber.

I heard alternative. He circled back to this several times. Clearly they have something in the works and he said they would announce it soon.

With an oversized chair with Nancy Pelosi s name prominently displayed so that the media can't but help but see it. If I was Trump, I'd say I've tried to get Pelosi to sit down with me and work on a solution and as you can see she won't even take time to hear the SOTU address. (Trump looking into the camera) If I was an unpaid worker out there, I'd consider switching parties.
NO WAY, much better to select an alternative venue where the Demoncraps have zero control (or even presence). And when the Demoncraps bleat that it is no longer a “bi-partisan” event, keep emphasizing that the Demoncraps destroyed the traditional event.

A SOTU without the dirty rat sourpusses present would be really enjoyable. He’d get full applause repeatedly.
