Police in Arlington, TX had their hands full after an officer-involved shooting that left one dead and an officer seriously wounded. The dead mans family demanded to know why 20-year-old TreShun Miller ended up dead after a simple traffic stop.
The family presented the media with the photo above. Meanwhile, for anyone looking, TreShuns Facebook page provided a treasure trove of photos indicating crime:
Of course, most folks dont dig that deep. But the Arlington PD didnt disappoint.
Days after the family challenged the cops for proof of what happened, Arlington PD delivered. They released the bodycam video showing TreShuns final felonious moments before crumpling to the dirt with his pants down.
NBCDFW covered the familys outcry.
The family of 20-year-old TreShun Miller says the shooting, which also left an officer wounded, is leading to questions they believe may be answered by viewing the police body camera footage.
Were talking about somebody thats failure to use the traffic light to turn the lane and someone ended up being dead, said Dominique Alexander, of the Next Generation Action Network. Everybody in America should try to find out how, time after time, a traffic stop turns into a fatality.
Justin Moore, Miller family attorney, said people who were in the car gave a different account of what happened than police, claiming the officer fired first.
They saw TreShun immediately exit the car and begin to flee. They saw him get shot, fall to the ground, and then return fire, said Moore. What we really need is bodycam evidence to corroborate our theory or to disprove it.

Did not need to see that...
My first mistake was trying to make sense out of stupid. I turned 67 today and should know better. A policeman shot, a 20 year old kid dead over grass and having a weapon, then running in pants that dont fit shooting at cops. Anyone wondering why cops have body cams can see why. The officers could have been a lot more hardazz but tried to be civil. I hope the wounded officer heals fast. I hope the dead boys family does better if they have other kids. The whole story is a hell of a note as my dad would have said.
Bodycams are great for everyone. If you spend any time in public, solo, you need one, or at least have your phone recording audio.
The officers should have had a two on one to handle the male in the passenger side. Just good risk evaluation. Take him out and search/handcuff with two officers. Have the other officer cover the two young women.
I think the idea of the press pushing police brutality and crap make the cops try to be more civil. You got plates on a vehicle linked to drug issues, call in backup and play the game hard. Take the news media heat and not the bullets from idiot kids. I think the heat dont get hot enough sometimes. IMO
Looks like Kids who attend Catholic High Schools should wear Body Cams just in case they run into a crazy Indian.
Back in the 60s and early 70s, I was in schools which had a number of black students.
And the black students had names such as Karen, John, Milton, Michael, Sherri, June, Ross, and Al.
Nowadays, so many black children have made up names. They aren’t even African origin names, they are completely made up . And sadly such names handicap the kids growing up.
The left pushes the hell out of self righteous personal esteem and gets these youngsters all hyped to push themselves, then they screw up get stopped and shoot it out with cops. Dieing in a lot of cases or joining gangs and getting involved in crime and getting shot. However, not all of them, a large portion of the minority community get aborted while babies. The left garners the survivors votes and sends them down a hellish highway, while they ride the train willingly and dont realize theyre following a Judas goat.
My wife is Chinese-American and was born here to immigrant parents who only spoke Chinese at home. She and four of her siblings have regular western names. Her parents asked the American doctors to name their kids with American names so they would fit in. Except for their youngest sixth child, which they gave him a Chinese name. First thing he did when he came of legal age was to legally change his name to "Joe"; he hated his Chinese first name. My wife is glad she has a regular American name! (I also know guys from Africa who have regular names like us, as in "James" or "Robert".)
#17. Re your comment “but with a name like “Tre’Shun”...
Here is part of a short news story from the Wash. Post’s Metro section on Jan. 21st - “Local Digest: The District” - “2 teens are charged with armed carjacking”.
They beat a 69 year old woman with “a heavy object and severely injured” her, according to her daughter and a police account.
KAVEYON Andrews, 16 of Northeast Washington, and THADDUSE Hartridge, 17, of Southeast, were charged as adults with assault with intent to rob while armed, and armed carjacking”.
PLUS
“Andrews and Hartridge also were charged with armed robberies on Wednesday, in the 3000 block of Sherman Ave., NW, and on Dec. 12, in the 1000 block of Irving St, NW. Those locations are also in Columbia Heights”.
As the old philosopher once say, “There is something in a name”. Black parents are destroying their children’s self image when giving them butt-ugly and foolish names.
While this name corruption has been attributed to blacks wanting to distance themselves from “white” cultural domination, there aren’t too many Nobel Prize winners named “Tre’Shun”, “Treyvon”, “DeVonta/Vontey”, Thadduse or Kaveyon.
It is as though some parents are deliberately setting up their kids to fail, even if that is actually NOT their goal.
They have to wake up and say, let’s give these kids names that won’t be laughed at, which will hurt their own self-respect. Let’s dress them like normal people, not refugees from “dumpster diving” or homeless shelters. No, ok you can wear your pants down around your knees with a sign that says “I’m available”.
The same for the girls. Dress them like you would want to dress yourself, respectable, in good taste, and adequately. Even if you have to shop at Walmart or Target (they have some very nice clothes at very good prices), do it for the kids if you love them.
Make them look respectable so that they can view themselves as respectable (and behave as such too).
It all starts with a name at birth, even before they have clothes. Don’t cripple them as soon as they are born. Life can be hard enough without having a name that is ridiculous and demeaning.
“...cause nothing says tough guy as much as one who cannot buy a belt.”
I’ve heard where that “fashion trend” was started in prison, where they don’t allow belts. So it enhances the person’s tough-guy image.
“What? Nah - I’ve never been to prison. But I look like I have, that’s the main thing.”
“Funny thing, when you have legit guys coming from Africa (not illegal Somalis), they tend to have names like Jonathon or Justin or something normal.”
Trevor Noah has a humor special form years ago when he first toured America. Back when he was funny, and not just running his mouth bashing the USA.
He’s from South Africa.
He jokes about meeting some guy name Mala-waka-do. “Yeah - my mother gave it to me so I would be in touch with my African ancestry. But - WOW! To meet a brother from my homeland! What’s your name?”
“Um - Trevor.”
Off topic but wanted to agree with you about Target clothes. Amazing bang for buck! They totally revamped their clothing offerings about two years ago. Wherever is curating their collection (seems weird to use those terms for Target but it fits) really knows what they’re doing. The other day a cute girl complemented me on a parka jacket I bought there. I told her thanks and you wouldn’t believe where I got it. She said where and I said Target and she said yeah she actually could totally believe it. She said she loved shopping there and got frequent complements on her finds. So apparently the women’s collection is pretty good too. I don’t like Target’s politics but they are nailing it with their clothes. Big step up from Wal-Mart but not much more expensive.
The guy RAN! Regardless of HOW they pulled him out of the car, he would have run. Gun, drugs, I’m scared.
Peacefully arresting someone requires their cooperation!
Perps run ALL THE TIME!
If you don’t watch “Live PD” or “Body Cam” or “Cops” you are woefully uninformed. These shows are REAL life, Live PD is “LIVE” (in real time). A real education of what cops have to deal with every day!
For a great “after the fact” crime education show, try “The First 48”. Years of episodes and recent ones too.
Not too many Amish perps.
Live PD is required viewing for those who think the cops are out of control. Oh and make sure all your vehicle lights are in working order.
Yep. car full of kids coming back from church bible study I tell you. Nonetheless, civilization thanks you officer!
We have a young college intern from Kenya here. Just landed. Name is Martin. Anyways, his first two weeks in America (Little Rock, AR) I catch him in the elevator and he looks shocked. He told me he was accosted by 2 black pan handlers between parking and bank and looked at me and said, "What happened to American blacks?".
African blacks cannot stand illiterate and lazy American blacks. They are incredulous that given the ample opportunities to succeed in America that they piss it away.
Gangsta thug eliminated...good job!!!!
