Police in Arlington, TX had their hands full after an officer-involved shooting that left one dead and an officer seriously wounded. The dead mans family demanded to know why 20-year-old TreShun Miller ended up dead after a simple traffic stop.
The family presented the media with the photo above. Meanwhile, for anyone looking, TreShuns Facebook page provided a treasure trove of photos indicating crime:
Of course, most folks dont dig that deep. But the Arlington PD didnt disappoint.
Days after the family challenged the cops for proof of what happened, Arlington PD delivered. They released the bodycam video showing TreShuns final felonious moments before crumpling to the dirt with his pants down.
NBCDFW covered the familys outcry.
The family of 20-year-old TreShun Miller says the shooting, which also left an officer wounded, is leading to questions they believe may be answered by viewing the police body camera footage.
Were talking about somebody thats failure to use the traffic light to turn the lane and someone ended up being dead, said Dominique Alexander, of the Next Generation Action Network. Everybody in America should try to find out how, time after time, a traffic stop turns into a fatality.
Justin Moore, Miller family attorney, said people who were in the car gave a different account of what happened than police, claiming the officer fired first.
They saw TreShun immediately exit the car and begin to flee. They saw him get shot, fall to the ground, and then return fire, said Moore. What we really need is bodycam evidence to corroborate our theory or to disprove it.

Body cams are great - they protect the officer from bogus charges of improper action, they provide the public with accountability when an officer does something wrong. Every police officer should be required to wear one when interacting with the public.
The local cops here all seem to have them.
If I were an officer, I’d want one. It might save a career from a bogus charge.
A lot of truth in Chris’s you tube.
Body cam says perp fired first and cop-hating liberals are tripped up.
The video doesnt lie. And if youre too stupid to know shooting at cops is a felony, youre beyond help.
Shaun Miller broke the law. Period.
Im trying to figure out why his pants are falling off as he was running away. Was his gun holding them up? If he fired at the officers, their return fire is expected and warranted. This is all a little odd to me. Body cams are becoming required gear in a lot of police departments, cops way of cya.
“Im trying to figure out why his pants are falling off as he was running away.”
Makes for better video.
Riiiggghhhtt! Watch me out run cops wearing a gunnysack. Damn gun slowed me down, should have left it in the car.
I wonder if the female driver of the car will be charged as an accomplice to the attempted murder of a peace officer? Bet her father is so proud!/S
Dun duhduhduh dun, another Thug bites the Dust!
Im trying to figure out why his pants are falling off as he was running away.
better street creds- cause nothing says tough guy as much as one who cannot buy a belt
The left will point out that he’s giving the “White Power” symbol in one of the pictures. /s
Wow, that cop was professional. And man can he reload fast under stress.
i’m sorry, but with a name like “TreShun”, the kid is much more likely to be shot to death in a gang shooting or by the cops during the commission of a violent crime than ending up as CEO of Exxon ...
These 2 cretins were arrested before by the police. Criminals one of which chose poorly and cost him his life. Whos fault?
Why those police officers didn’t order the male on the passenger side of the car to exit the vehicle and place his hands on the roof of the vehicle is beyond me.
If they did that they could have prevented that shooting by covering each other and searching that perp before he could grab his weapon and use it.
I'd shoot his parents for naming him that. Should have named him Squirrel-Nuts, at least you can make sense of that. All these apostrophes and hyphens in names are ridiculous, just shows ignorance on the part of blacks. Bad enough that kids graduate from school not being able to spell correctly; parents compound the problem by making sure their kids names get misspelled.
