There is no legitimate source of information available to the public (and I don't have any inside information) about the current health status, actual prognosis, or future plans of Associate Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg.
While all the inferences posters keep making about what is PROBABLE are well-founded, the truth is, no one knows anything except that she has cancer, she was surgically treated in the third week of December 2018, and that her return to work is taking longer than was originally hoped for by her supporters and friends in the media.
That's all anyone who is a legitimate source of information knows. The "pneumonia" story appeared to originate in September 2018, and the abnormal Xray was almost certainly caused by the cancer.
She was treated by the best team in the US (although there's a lot of competition) and although the story may end soon, if any team could have given her a chance for multi-year survival without cognitive injury, she had that team.
When she is ready to resign, or when she dies, I'm sure there will be an announcement. Until then, all the stuff here is hot gas.
Hoping she has enough sense to retire.

But if she does,in fact,have one lung (which I've read is the case) and if she does,in fact,have some form of lung cancer (which has been officially revealed) and if she is,in fact,85 years old (which is obviously true) then she is potentially in serious,immediate danger.The *immediate* danger would come from pneumonia,the "Grim Reaper" of folks in their 80s (and beyond).
As for the possibility of her resigning due to ill health I'd wager everything I own that there's no way she'd do that while DJT is in the White House.
She's far too venomous and amoral to do such a thing.

No news from a real news source, if there is such a thing. The Santa Monica thing is a farce.
I can’t find it now, but there was a recent report saying she had pneumonia and would retire in “January.” The language implied next January (Biden rule) but perhaps they meant this month if she’s unable to return to work.

Whatever will be, will be. Nothing I can say or opine will add to or subtract a millisecond from her life. She’ll go when she goes, and I, for one, won’t mourn her.
