Among the tens of thousands assembled in Washington for the 46th annual March for Life was conservative pundit and headliner Ben Shapiro.
Shapiro’s speech started with highlighting the noteworthy American ideals of “life and liberty,” urging Americans to move forward by protecting such values for the unborn.
“America was founded on the promise of God-given rights. Chief among them was life and liberty,” Shapiro said. “While America has imperfectly fulfilled that promise, we always move forward to for the perfection of that promise.”
“We built the country for our children,” Shapiro added. “We built our lives for our children. And then something happened. Our country decided to erase them.”
He addressed the science community who, according to Shapiro, perpetuates false narratives regarding the origins of life:
We dehumanized the most human, the most innocent among us. We lied to ourselves. And then we built walls around that lie. We lied about the science. We falsified anti-scientific arguments about the origin of life. We pretended that human beings were not actual human beings.
Shapiro highlighted what he called euphemisms used to mask the horrors of killing the unborn, such as “termination of pregnancy,” “choice,” and “abortion.”
Shapiro also referenced Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, a darling of the left, and his past statements about pro-lifers not being in line with where we are as a society. Shapiro agreed with that sentiment, stating, “We do live in a time where the Democratic Party embraces abortion as a sacrament.”

Maybe never-Trumper Ben Shapiro ought to remember who is the MOST important pro-life individual in US politics right now and for many years to come (due to SCOTUS appointments).... that would be POTUS Donald J. Trump..... who Benji tried to keep out of the White House.
IMHO, rates of abortion and immigration are closely linked. For decades now, we’ve been warned about the “Population Bomb!”. That, in turn, has made abortion seem less abhorrent. It’s a means to limit population growth, and that end justifies any means — or so they say.
Meanwhile, population growth is sustained (even increased) by large numbers of immigrants. The working-age population must be maintained, by any means — say that same “they”. Immigration is the only means we have; since citizens don’t seem interested in reproducing — they say.
And so on. It’s an absurd viscous circle.
Totally fantastic! I’ve only read things by Ben Shapiro and I’ve liked him (a lot of people here on FR don’t, but I’m not sure why).
This was a brilliant speech, very inspiring and really makes me feel called to stand up as an American to abortion and to all the perversion of our ideals by the left.
He’s taken a few steps back on that. Not enough, but a few.

I’m not a Shapiro fan and his speech was excellent.
He also said Righteous doesn’t have to be popular, it just has to be righteous.

Well, not the country, but a 7-2 majority of some lawyers 46 years ago decided an issue that roils our conscience and nation to this day. Roe must go. No legitimate right empowers one generation to ‘off the next.
And people wonder why Germans ‘stood by’ and ‘let’ the holocaust happen. We are ‘standing by’ and allowing a current day holocaust to happen behind the closed doors of abortion facilities. Millions of people (i.e. Babies) have been murdered.
