Susan Bucher, the long-time supervisor of elections in Palm Beach County, was suspended Friday by Gov. Ron DeSantis following a series of post-election controversies. At a news conference at The Historical Museum of Palm Beach, DeSantis said he would follow Secretary of State Mike Ertel’s recommendation to suspend Bucher in order “to right the ship” in Palm Beach County. “Palm Beach County stands alone in their level of ineptitude” in the election reporting process, DeSantis said.

Go Desantis! I am proud to say that I have been following him just about from the beginning of his career, where he served us as an excellent Rep. starting in 2012. He’s a very smart, hard-working, no-nonsense guy.

Of course you know that state legislatures can appoint electors any damn well they please.
Though I am in favor of the Founder’s method of selecting Senators I would be hard-pressed to show that the switch to election has made much difference, if any.
Any study of American political history shows clearly that the level of corruption and stupidity was equal to or greater than today’s.

Congress has been in session for TWO weeks. I am not even sure that the Committees and their Chairmen have been appointed.
Familiarize yourself with how the Congress actually works before making such pointless remarks.

He just took office and had a list of items to get to, she was up next.

That's all he has to power to do, only the Senate can remove her. She was elected to office.
The Governor should also conduct no-knock raids, and perp walks. Doesn’t mean much without a frog march.
I doubt it was his intent, but he’s making former Governor Scott look really useless.
...but, on the other hand, flipping that seat in the Senate is HUGE, so I won’t beat on Scott too much.

It is not ineptitude. It is overt cheating. In Palm beach county the SOS reps witnessed workers feeding paper clips into the machines to sabotage the recount. The slowdown would keep the recount from finishing by the deadline forcing a statewide recount.

Thankfully our state FL has gone more republican with a Republican house, Republican senate, two Fed senators, and a Gov. Now our new Gov has put two more judges on the states supreme court,
I've been beating that drum for years, to no avail. Hopefully, in these times, things will change. The power of the Metro areas MUST be broken if we are to have anything like fair elections.
