House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer, D-Md., acknowledged Wednesday on Fox News' "Special Report with Bret Baier" that border walls "obviously" work in some areas, and he rejected suggestions that barriers should be removed where they already exist.
The No. 2 House Democrat additionally asserted that the question of whether to fund President Trump's proposed border wall -- a dispute at the center of the unprecedented partial federal government shutdown -- is "not an issue of morality."
Hoyer's comments were seemingly at odds with the positions of other House Democrats, who have argued that border walls like the one Trump is proposing are ineffective and immoral.

The idea that it is immoral is ridiculous. I can accept a certain extent of debate about how effective a wall would be vis a vis the cost to build, monitor and maintain one. But it’s simply not immoral.

Gerrymandering has Maryland’s Congressional delegation at 7 Dems with only one R and the state legislature veto-proof for Dems. The population is more like 60-40.

Not sure its a fissure in the dem party. More likely a calculated move to appeal to moderates via Fox. His base won’t watch Fox so that’s not a problem. All of this is orchestrated and coordinated.
I wish Pres. Trump would encourage Dims and fed employees to call Nazi Pelosi and tell her to fund the wall.
Our new Dim rep, Wexton, isn’t interested, but my request that she support the wall, due to our district being infested with MS-13, 18th Street, and bedbugs, was “noted”.
