A day after her Brexit plan suffered the worst parliamentary defeat in modern British political history, U.K. Prime Minister Theresa May has survived a motion of no-confidence brought by Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn by a vote of 325-306.
Why it matters: May's job has been under threat for months, and yet she keeps on surviving. Having already seen off one challenge from rebels in her own party, she's now defeated a motion from the opposition. Still, May is no closer to delivering on Brexit with 10 weeks left until the U.K. is scheduled to leave the European Union.

This can mean ONLY ONE THING:
The parliament wants to stay in the EU, they don’t care about what the people want and voted for twice.................
Not by much, a margin of just 19.
I was hoping for Boris Johnson or Daniel Hannan, perhaps in coalition with Nigel Farage and UKIP.
May was a Remain. At least Cameron had the integrity to resign after the Brexit vote. It’s no wonder May screwed up Brexit, which she has never supported.
I agree....This is a message to the EU....stop scre**** with us.
The whole thing is a scam, don’t be fooled. They have a plan
They would have to agree to another Brexit vote - I don’t think there are enough votes to do that. March 29 is coming ...
Deep State UK is killing Brexit.
May must deliver on Brexit or even her own party will turn on her. This sent her that message.
Seems like the will of the people has gotten lost......sounds familiar.
Correct - the people no longer are represented by the government they elected.
Are we headed that way?
I wonder if enough people knew that as lousy May has been, Corbyn as PM would mean kissing a good deal of what is left of the UK goodbye.
The conservatives are forcing her to do an actual Brexit deal, not this watered-down nothing burger that kept the UK half in and half out of the EU. Nigel Farage is very pleased with this outcome. The soncervatives are the reason she is still there.
No one wants the job.
The parliament wants to stay in the EU, they dont care about what the people want and voted for twice.................
Sounds like Parliament might also want to stick May with the majority of the blame, should things progress to a "no-deal" parting of the ways. I'm sure she'll start right in tomorrow, looking for a slightly less horrific deal than the one just defeated (though I don't believe Brussels is under any obligation to offer one at this point).
All smoke and mirrors. The Yellow vests need to break out all over the UK and all across Europe.
Meanwhile, we can order our Red, White, and Blue vests.
Brexit is a done deal... well a no deal hard Brexit is set in stone.
May would like to clinch a deal with the EU on a soft Brexit but it needs to be one her party will support. So far its been elusive.
The other option on the table is to cancel Brexit and remain in the EU before or by March 29 by sending to the EU a letter of recission under Art. 49 of the Lisbon Treaty.
Brussels doesn’t want a deal at all...............
I agree. I was sure she was toast.
Yes, I agree that I expected May not to survive this no-confidence vote.
A no-confidence vote would have led to a delay in Brexit and a possible second referendum.
This makes a hard Brexit much more likely.
Thats the problem... what Brussels has on offer isnt acceptable to Mays party.
Unless a solution is found soon, the UK will leave without a deal or decide that its too risky and remain in the EU after all.
