LORDSBURG, N.M. — Ranchers and farmers near the U.S.-Mexico border have been finding prayer rugs on their properties in recent months, according to one rancher who asked to remain anonymous for fear of retaliation by human smugglers.
The mats are pieces of carpet that those of the Muslim faith kneel on as they worship during their unauthorized trek into and through the United States.
"There’s a lot of people coming in not just from Mexico," the rancher said. "People, the general public, just don’t get the terrorist threats of that. That’s what’s really scary. You don’t know what’s coming across. We’ve found prayer rugs out here. It’s unreal. It’s not just Mexican nationals that are coming across."

Ranchers should carry suppressed .22 rifles and SSS. Do us all a favor. Once rumor gets back south that the border is a ghostland where people are never heard from again, this crap will stop. Ask the people of Syria, Georgia, and Ajerbaijan what happens to people crossing Turkey’s border.
Just a guess, but it's possible that they discard the rugs at that point so they'll better blend in with the latinos. Taqiyya, and all that. "Holy deception".

I'm not flaming you but reading a hypothesis and critsizing it because of it's lack of supposing evidence and motive IS critical thinking. Reading a hypothesis and manfacturing a scenario that's not supported in the story is just conjecture.

how does he know it’s a prayer rug? why would a muslim abandon his prayer rug? wouldn’t it make more sense that these are rugs that your common, ordinary boarder jumper uses to throw over concertina wire if they have to climb a wall?

Common sense says they left them behind because the rug targets them as Muslims. It’s a duh...
So far I can say that the TSA has never been anything but nice to me.
Only thing I ever try to bring through there is my phone and my headphones so I can listen to some music while I fly.
I thought it was curious the last time I went through though. I saw scanner machine indicate to the man that he left side of my groin area was suspicious and needed to be searched.
They searched there and of course nothing. I didn’t even have anything in my pockets, so I’m not sure what caused that.

About 12 years ago I had a client whose brother was a Border Patrol agent. He said that in the prior year they had caught people from 87 nations (the brother worked in South Texas). I said, “But there are nowhere near 87 countries south of the border.” He said that there were a lot coming from “Southwest Asia” - a clear reference to Arab countries.
No, this is not new; but it does highlight that the open border is an extreme attractant for not merely economic immigrants, but also for terrorists. I’d love to see the head of the Border Patrol read a list of the countries in the Eastern Hemisphere from which illegals are coming - with emphasis on Arab/Moslem countries. Let the Dems deal with the backlash from THAT.

A prayer rug can look like a mexican blanket. It can look like a large Shemagh Which I prefer (because i’m American and have a very large penis) to call “A scarf”
They can sneak these little treasures around quite easily.
I’m just a bit torn because I know our open borders risk more Muslims coming in than Mexicans, and this sounds a bit incredible.
