A San Diego television station is standing by its contention that CNN declined to use one of its reporters for a border-wall story because it didnt fit with the networks narrative.
KUSI accused CNN this week of asking for a local perspective on the effectiveness of the border wall, then pulling back when the station offered reporter Dan Plante, who has previously reported that the wall is in fact effective.
KUSI digital content manager Mike McKinnon III wrote on the networks website, We believe CNN declined a report from KUSI because we informed them that most Border Patrol agents we have spoken to told us the barrier does in fact work.
But a CNN spokesperson called the claim a nonstory.
"That happens many times every single day," the spokesperson told Fox News. "We did, however, book a reporter from KUSI for a story on immigration and the border wall on CNN in November. This is a nonstory."
A report from The Associated Press on Friday seemed to signal that the local outlet may have been backtracking its initial accusation, but KUSI said on its Twitter that it stands by our original story.

[ But a CNN spokesperson called the claim a nonstory. ]
Of course. Because it didn’t fit the Democrat narrative and CNN is all about broadcasting nothing but Democrat narratives.
Ironic that CNN acts just like the old Soviet Union’s media mouthpiece TASS in spreading one sided propaganda in support of the dictatorial state.
A “Nonstory”. But not Fake news.
CNN already has the market cornered on THAT.
Anyone who still watches CNN and thinks they’re getting honest news is a fool.
There are a lot of rat fools in this country.
Nice. The AP tries to cover for their fellow travelers at CNN and the locals aren’t buying. The corporate globalist media can’t believe this is happening, they’re in complete disarray. Can’t even agree on a narrative, flailing, sputtering, and providing some very entertaining comic relief along the way. Jim Acosta At The Wall is going to be a journalistic classic.
It's a non-story because they do it all the time? Not much of a defense.
They acted as a media mouthpiece for Saddam Hussein in order to have their fraudulent Baghdad "bureau."
For ten years, they looked the other way when they learned of stories detailing murder, torture, kidnapping, and rape by members of Saddam Hussein's family and by the Mukhabarat, the Bath party's secret police.
All so they could boast that they had a "Baghdad Bureau."
If they could, CNN would coordinate and manipulate the mass slaughter of Christians and Conservatives, just as Radio Rwanda and RTLM did during the Rwandan Genocide in 1993 and 1994. They would do it, and pat themselves on the back for having done so.
But they did have Jim Acosta showing that the wall works in Texas.
CNN= Communist News Network.
The law incentivizes illegal entry and nothing will change until stricter immigration laws are passed.
Folks, CNN is very fake news. No doubt about it.
‘One up’ on you....
Chris Plante WMAL AM/FM Washington DC went into this story in detail on his National show Fri 1/11/19.
Seems the ‘reporter’ in question is Plantes brother and CP got plent of ‘eye witness’ clips and reports.
‘WE’ are going to have to take this one by doing a D trick, start ‘going after’ sponsors etc and let them know why and like a lot of ‘hosts’ say,
“I watch ‘so & so’ so you won’t have to’
Biggest ‘problem’ with boycotts etc is so many companys are co owned so if you don’t buy one brand (I refuse to buy ANYTHING with the Heinz name on it) but when buying the ‘off brand’ one must check and make sure Heinz doesn’t ‘own’ it also.
OTOH, Papa Johns shows that ‘the board’ can fire the owner/founder and KEEP HIS PRODUCT NAME, but just another place I won’t step foot into. (THE LIST KEEPS GROWING...Target, McDonalds etc, are on my list).
The PJ deal shows that YOU PERSONALLY (not wife or kids-they may ‘hate’ you some day) must KEEP at least .5000000000000000000000000001 of your company in YOUR NAME, not even willed to anyone as the remainder may band together and fight you at every step but YOU have the controlling interest.
You are completely misinformed.
We have adequate immigration laws.
They have deliberately been unenforced for decades.
Arizona passes a law that was a photocopy of federal immigration law, and the Feds took them to court to stop them from enforcing it.
The problem is not our immigration laws. The problem is the criminals in federal law enforcement agencies who punish people who enforce them.
I agree that enforcing the laws on the books would be highly effective in stopping this mess.
The 14th Amendment was intended to grant freed slaves citizenship after the Civil War.
Nowhere in it can you find anything about “You’re a citizen if your Mommy pops you out on US soil.”
The system has been completely corrupted by the courts, poor laws and an effective wall, but the wall alone probably wont be effective.
