Alex Jones on Friday lost his bid to shield internal Infowars records sought by lawyers suing him on behalf of the families of several victims of the 2012 Sandy Hook Elementary School massacre in Newtown, Connecticut.
Ruling from Connecticut State Superior Court, Judge Barbara Bellis granted requests for business documents desired by attorneys suing the Texas-based media personality and Infowars publisher for defamation.
From the beginning, we have alleged that Alex Jones and his financial network trafficked in lies and hate in order to profit from the grief of Sandy Hook families. That is what we intend to prove, and todays ruling advances that effort, said Chris Mattei, an attorney representing plaintiffs in the lawsuit.
We look forward to gaining access to Infowars internal marketing and financial documents to show that Jones has built an empire as nothing more than a conspiracy profiteer, as alleged in our complaint, Mr. Mattei said in a statement.
Jay M. Wolman, an attorney representing Mr. Jones in the case, did not immediately return a message seeking comment.
Lawyers representing the families of several victims of the Sandy Hook filed the civil suit in May 2018, seeking damages over what they called a years-long campaign of abusive and outrageous false statements.
Even though overwhelming and indisputable evidence exists showing exactly what happened at Sandy Hook Elementary School on Dec. 14, 2012, certain individuals have persistently perpetuated a monstrous, unspeakable lie: that the Sandy Hook shooting was staged, and that the families who lost loved ones that day are actors who faked their relatives deaths, attorneys for the plaintiffs alleged previously.
Authorities determined Adam Lanza, a 20-year-old former Sandy Hook student, fatally shot his mother at their Newtown home prior to

Good point!
Okayyy.
That’s only partially the issue.
Since the 1960s-1970s “Main Streaming” mental health patients has been the practice rather then institutionalization. The claim being all these “problems” can be controlled with psychotropic drugs and putting them out to rub up against society will also be therapeutic, help make them better (By magic I guess!). Unfortunately if there’s no one to make them take the drugs, quite often they don’t get taken. Guess what? At the age of majority no one can make you take them! I question whether they were so effective to significantly reduce or do away with mental asylums anyway. (But it does save the state money & isn’t that’s what’s really important!) Throw in the fact that the drug culture is main stream now, playing dice with your personal brain chemistry is just the thing for a boring evening ! So its quite a stew now where no past public actions by the state or the people should be considered so it has to be a conspiracy! The wilder the better!
I vote aliens!
I don't know, I don't listen to him. If he didn't mention anyone, he will probably win the case (on appeal, if not before the jury). I do know there was a Sandy Hook Troofer who was successfully sued in Florida because he called out one of the moms by name and said that her son's birth and death certificates were both forgeries. That is actionable defamation.
Veronique de la Rosa was the plaintiff mom in the case I looked at.
Lol...you're spouting liberal nonsense here.
Do it yourself
So in your mind, saying something hateful is a crime that should be prosecuted?
So you don’t know what you were talking about. Got it.
I call that bold talk for a one-eyed fat man.
Fill your hands you SOB!
What bothers me is that when certain sources go so far off the rails that it totally obscures any legitimate questions that might be brought. As such, it leads me to think those sources are 'controlled opposition' designed to deflect, not to inform.
One thing to keep in mind is that rat poison is 90% tasty food.
Yup. I have my own questions about Alex Jones. Do not think that he should be unpersoned for what he says.
I liked Trump because he has all the right enemies.
So does Alex Jones.
“So its quite a stew now where no past public actions by the state or the people should be considered so it has to be a conspiracy! The wilder the better!”
The problem with dismissing “conspiracy theories” as a priori ridiculous is that people do conspire. Frequently. Almost continuously.
I don’t disagree with you on “mainstreaming.” I view it as hideously evil. But I have to wonder why there are so many school shootings. Given the nature of mental illness, I would guess that there would be many different targets, and less repetition.

Gun-free zones are designated free killing zones.
There is no other possible reason for their existence.
.
Schools aren’t the only gun-free zones.
