Alex Jones on Friday lost his bid to shield internal Infowars records sought by lawyers suing him on behalf of the families of several victims of the 2012 Sandy Hook Elementary School massacre in Newtown, Connecticut.
Ruling from Connecticut State Superior Court, Judge Barbara Bellis granted requests for business documents desired by attorneys suing the Texas-based media personality and Infowars publisher for defamation.
From the beginning, we have alleged that Alex Jones and his financial network trafficked in lies and hate in order to profit from the grief of Sandy Hook families. That is what we intend to prove, and todays ruling advances that effort, said Chris Mattei, an attorney representing plaintiffs in the lawsuit.
We look forward to gaining access to Infowars internal marketing and financial documents to show that Jones has built an empire as nothing more than a conspiracy profiteer, as alleged in our complaint, Mr. Mattei said in a statement.
Jay M. Wolman, an attorney representing Mr. Jones in the case, did not immediately return a message seeking comment.
Lawyers representing the families of several victims of the Sandy Hook filed the civil suit in May 2018, seeking damages over what they called a years-long campaign of abusive and outrageous false statements.
Even though overwhelming and indisputable evidence exists showing exactly what happened at Sandy Hook Elementary School on Dec. 14, 2012, certain individuals have persistently perpetuated a monstrous, unspeakable lie: that the Sandy Hook shooting was staged, and that the families who lost loved ones that day are actors who faked their relatives deaths, attorneys for the plaintiffs alleged previously.
Authorities determined Adam Lanza, a 20-year-old former Sandy Hook student, fatally shot his mother at their Newtown home prior to

Such BS. He is being sued over hurt feelings. None of those people suffered any damages whatsoever.
overwhelming and indisputable evidence exists
No, its about people like Jones suggesting it didnt happen.
Anyone who knows someone who was there, knows that it happened and it was horrifying.
Its to shut up people who pick at the bones of children to make money.
No he’s being sued for being a lying bag of filth. Sadly that’s no longer a hanging offense. He’s Sandy Hook conspiracy is sheer filthy lies. PEOPLE DIED. KIDS DIED. Don’t be an idiot.
Some conspiracies are so KooKy as to be non-offensive. The Sandy Hook nonsense falls into that category for me.
I’d like to know more of the station that broadcast the story a day early. I don’t know what came of it, but I remember seeing it.
This just upped Jones’ profile
Like 7 years ago, I never heard of this guy
Now this guy is everywhere, mostly living in the heads of the left
“From the beginning, we have alleged that Alex Jones and his financial network trafficked in lies and hate...”
Sounds like freedom on speech to me.
Here is what I think after watching this stuff happen many times since the shooting in Texas circa 1965. It is amazing to me to watch how incredibly quickly, within minutes, after one of these horrific events happen, that a (usually democrat) legislator is on the floor of the state house with already written legislation demanding total control of guns. I understand where Jones is coming from, I think these are planned media events, only I don’t think so kindly of the planners, that they faked the killing of children. I think the murders are real. I don’t think Alex Jones is off track, questioning the spontaneity of these attacks. I think there is an agenda in play here.
And Alex admitted it. People who called into his show questioned what happened. He merely entertained the idea. It’s called “discussion.” It’s no longer allowed. And there are lots and lots of dweebs who believe whatever lies the fakestream presstitutes tell about the man.
It’s taking away Jones right to speak what he believes. This is an attack on freedom. It’s about people who are trying to profit off of the death of their loved ones.
I completely agree. Alex Jones is a serial liar and fraud who makes a living by preying on the credulous and promoting fringe theories that very often he knows are false. This is not about hurt feelings. This is about slander. I hope they take everything this evil SOB owns. I want this clown to walk out of court stripped to his drawers.
“I dont think Alex Jones is off track, questioning the spontaneity of these attacks. I think there is an agenda in play here.”
I started school in 1956. I don’t remember any school shootings, at all, until the UT tower. After that, nothing again for years and years.
Where did this crap come from so suddenly? I think it plausible that people could be brainwashed into it.
The problem is he doesn’t believe it. He has openly admitted as much. He claims he is just “entertaining” when he is engaged in slandering people and promoting evil lies. My only regret is that slander is no longer a criminal offense.
From the beginning, we have alleged that Alex Jones and his financial network trafficked in lies and hate...
Sounds like freedom on speech to me.

Sounds like many Hollywood entertainers, lots of Leftist media, and a buttload of university academics.
I dont disagree with an unreasonable, emotional response. I dont think they are planned, I think these people have well honed responses to any crisis. That is the age we live in.
But Jones and others went overboard on this one. A family member was a a CT State Trooper who showed up on the scene within half an hour. Trust me, the deaths were not faked. Jones and his ilk are parasites, living off these deaths by crazy people.
Spoken like a true totalitarian.
So where’s the lawsuit against those who made up the idea that all of us are neo-Nazis?
