Yup, preoccupied’s the word for it. At least you looked at the number. LOL!
LOL! Our cats all hate it when I get “electrified”. They all duck and run a lot this time of year.
I hate it because I get zapped every time I touch anything metal .... door handles, metal shelves at the grocery store, you name it.
We’ve been lucky this year regarding frigid weather .... so far. Farmer’s Almanac has been correct up to this point and that suits us just fine.
But yeah, it’s still cold enough that socks and shoes are required and the tootsies are SO ready for spring and summer!
I, too, am a '60's child. This got lots of airplay on Boss Radio 93 KHJ when I was a sophomore in high school.
I Had Too Much to Dream Last Night
Out of sight!
Li’l Bit “knocked” on the front door today. Bumped against it. I thought it was Peaches wanting in, so I opened it and there she was with those yellow eyes looking up at me. So I let her in. She wandered about, found the cat food, nibbled a bit and then wanted out. She’s a sweetie.
I’ll bet your tootsies are screamin’ inside those shoes and sox. I don’t mind the socks, because I always have cold feet, but I’m so used to being without shoes, till my feet protest when I have to put them on.
Here's the original version:
Bull Doze Blues--Henry Thomas (1928)
Same title, different song.
Peppermint Twist--Danny Peppermint & the Jumping Jacks (1961)
Same title, different song.
I'm Sorry--The Platters (1957)
Good night, Luv, and rest well. Thank you for spinning tunes for the troops. ((HUGS))
I just got home...I’ve had better days.
I like this one better.
Hey, School Girl--Tom & Jerry (Simon & Garfunkel), 1957
Encore, Clyde!
Lucille--The Drifters (1954)
I grew upon them yinzers

Li’l Bit does sound like a sweetie. And like a well-behaved lil girlie. Not a wild injun like some of the brats here. LOL! I’m glad Peaches and Ginger weren’t around to pick on her while she was in the house.
The lack of insulation under the floors in this old house makes shoes a must this time of year. Just socks won’t cut it. Even with shoes my feet tend to get cold. We had those few warmish days and the tootsies were happy in flip flops during the daytime at least.
Another version:
Are You Lonesome Tonight?--Henry Burr (1927)
Wow! I had no idea they’d been together so long!
This one’s a far cry from the style they became so famous for, but the vocals were tight as a drum as always.
I didn’t grow up on them but I sure loved it whenever they played in the Raleigh area. Excellent band and loads of fun.
Welcome, everyone to this weekend's edition of the Canteen Music Dedication. The music in this thread is provided for the enjoyment of the troops and their families.
Please support the artists in this thread. Buy their music and attend their concerts when they come to your area.
We'd like to thank the Canteen DJ's for all their had work in posting the music to today's thread.
Good stuff! I like this one by Thomas even better! Thanks for adding more ‘60s classics to the playlist!
((HUGS) Good morning, everyone. How’s it going?
