I’m of the opinion we’re already well past the awkward stage. Unfortunately, many here would not support that proposition.

Watched a movie on Netflix recently titled "Calibre." Not much story, but great cinematography of the Scottish landscape. Anyways, the plot revolves around a tragic hunting accident. The two lead characters go deer hunting in the Scottish Highlands. Character A, who is a licensed, registered gun owner, takes Character B, an old friend, hunting. Character B lines up a deer in his scope, but just as he pulls the trigger, the deer darts away, and the bullet strikes a young hiker that was behind the deer looking at it. Character B realizes what he has done, and while he is in shock, the boy's father shows up, picks up the dropped rifle and is threatening to kill Character B. Character A arrives at the seen, sees what is about to happen and kills the father in order to save Character B's life.

While it was an ugly event, in most American states, if the facts played out in court the deaths would be treated as an accidental shooting and a justifiable homicide. In the movie, Character A is prompted to initiate a big cover up and hide the bodies because he panics about the prison time he would get just for the illegal loaning of the rifle to his friend, and events spiral out of control from there.

I thought it was a decent, if not unwitting, comment on how nuisance nanny gun laws can horribly complicate bad situations and make them even worse.

Nothing good that’s for sure. If one were to stay ahead of the game in case things get spicy my suggestion would be to study your own neighborhood AO, Download voter registration lists, usually under “walking lists” (https://www.clarkcountynv.gov/election/Pages/WalkingList.aspx) and find out who your neighbors are. You can match real estate filings against these lists to verify. i’ll be keeping all my magazines thank you.

They just want us completely helpless against their JBTs, when they send them door-to-door. Remember Boston after the Marathon terrorism.

The patriots in Oregon will comply with this one just like the ones in New Jersey did.

They really don't care. The stupider and more outrageous, the merrier. The cops will just pick you up one at a time as they "find" you violating one of these laws. With all the draconian penalties, your goose is cooked for life.

Oregon’s legislature now has a super-majority of Democrats in both houses.

Worse than when I lived there in the 80s. At least there were some Republicans who represented eastern Oregon districts back then.

How about a bill that would limit law makers to one law a year?

That's a GREAT idea!!!!

The eastern Oregon districts themselves haven’t changed that much. Much as eastern WA, where I live. There are a few greenies and other deviants starting to pop up in both places.

1. Liberal has a wet dream.

2. Liberal gets up in the morning and goes to work in the Statehouse.

3. Liberal writes a Bill based on his wet dream.

It’s eight counties, now. Not that this POS legislation has a prayer.

"How about a bill that would limit law makers to one law a year?"

And restrict those laws to no more than 20 words and no more than 5 words per sentence.
