Davis, Calif. -- A rookie police officer died after being shot in northern California by a suspect who later died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound, authorities said. Davis Police Department officials said 22-year-old Officer Natalie Corona was shot after responding to a three-car traffic accident at about 6:45 p.m. Thursday in the community west of Sacramento.
Corona was rushed to UC Davis Medical Center in Sacramento, where she later died.
CBS Sacramento reports Corona was sworn in as an officer just two weeks ago. She followed in the footsteps of her father, Merced Corona, who worked in law enforcement. She graduated from the police academy in July.
Following the shooting, police issued a citywide shelter in place order as officers searched for the suspect, who was later found in a house near the shooting after a brief standoff.

Yes, Stockton used to be known for it’s Black criminal element. The “Mexicans” have pushed out the Blacks and now it’s a Hispanic Gang City with a 27 year old Black, Stanford-educated mayor, who is paying criminals a monthly “stipend” if they promise not to kill anyone.

The background/circumstances of the killer will tell the story.Warrants? Just committed some other crime? Drugs in his car? Was he drunk?
It's unlikely he shot her because "Flo" was gonna raise his insurance rates.
Per local media, there’s no confirmation so far that the dead perp was involved on the crash. Perp’s ID hasn’t been made public yet, either.

Davis is an amazing town. Big university town. But in the summer when all the students go home you realize it’s all aliens, and they’re not friendly. WTF?

No details on the shooter raises the suspicion that it a member of a politically protected class.
