Amazon has pulled more than a dozen products off its website after receiving complaints that the items are offensive to Muslims.
The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), the nation's largest Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization, asked the online retailer last week to remove the products, which included doormats, bath mats and other items imprinted with Islamic calligraphy, references to the Prophet Muhammad and scripture.
The products, which were being sold by independent merchants on Amazon's website, are deemed offensive because they "would be stepped-on or otherwise disrespected by customers," CAIR said in a statement on Thursday. The following day, CAIR issued another statement welcoming Amazon's decision to remove the items from its website and conduct an audit to purge similarly offensive products. "We thank Amazon for its swift action on this issue and hope it sends a message to manufacturers of such inappropriate and offensive items that they will not profit from Islamophobia or any other form of bigotry," Masih Fouladi, executive director of CAIR's Washington state chapter, said in the statement. "All sellers must follow our selling guidelines and those who do not will be subject to action including potential removal of their account," the spokesperson told CNN on Monday. "The products in question are being removed from our store."
I don’t buy from amazon. There are alternatives.
Why is it that when I am offended they have rights?

Will they remove Bibles for sale? After all, Muslims are seriously offended by the Bible.

Hey -there are lots of products on Amazon that technically “offend” me - big deal. I don’t shop for them, search for them, etc. If it’s legal - that is Amazon’s business (and their 3rd party sellers).
Why do we cater to the demands of Islam?
Now - someone else posted a reply above that they are offended by the cheap knock-off fake products. Me too - and Amazon isn’t particularly good at dealing with those.
So I guess the small memorial statuette depicting the Twin Towers burning is no longer available?

Every part of human civilization is offensive to the sub-human savage muslims.
This is actually akin to a grocery store deciding not to sell playboy. I don’t really have a problem with this as long as they apply this across the board. Some products really do cater to the lowest common denominator.
I hate islam, to be sure, but muslims are just its front line victims who, once weaponized, become dangerous. If someone wants this stuff, they can get it. It just won’t be through amazon (or probably any large retailer).
And the beat of the islamization of America goes on. The speed of it increasing exponately. 2018 the muslims doubled their numbers in Congress and they were actual muslims also, not muslim wannabes. 2020 the numbers will be doubled or tripled.
You got it. That’s why they don’t need to do any terrorist attacks. Why spend the energy when the people unilaterally surrender.
Hey there! Folks really need to respect the religious trappings of others. That is a recipe for polite society. I agree with Amazon’s decision.

There are those who make a pretty convincing argument that islam is a political/terrorist organization camouflaged as a religion. I find it hard to argue with that given that 90% of the conflicts world wide have deep islamic roots. islam is always surrounded by bloody borders, indeed, even within those borders brutality and injustice prevail.
And I was planning to order my official Mohammed false prophet religion of Peace Infidel disposal kit today.
