The Dems will get their response time with Nancy and Chuck repeating their nonsense about “immoral” and “ineffective” etcetera. What the President should do in his address is to pre-empt them by saying “Chuck and Nancy will tell you xxxx and that is wrong/untrue/a lie because of yyyy.” And he should start with the video showing them plus Hillary and Obama decrying illegal immigration and supporting funding for the border barriers just a few years ago. “Well, I agree with the old Chuck and Nancy - we need an effective border barrier and here is how we are going to build it.”
Totally agreed, dfu! He should show that and then preemptively counter what they will say in their absurd rebuttal.
Eiter way, Trump has the upper hand. The facts are on his side AND it’s hard to rebut something when you don’t know what he’s going to say and how he’s going to express it. Schumer and Pelosi aren’t too bright to react instantly. They will read from a prepared statement.
