“It’s going to require a lot of rapid change that we don’t even conceive as possible right now,” she said. “What is the problem with trying to push our technological capacities to the furthest extent possible?”
When Cooper suggested her plan to pay for it was “radical,” Ocasio-Cortez embraced the label.
“Well, I think that it only has ever been radicals that have changed this country,” she said. “Abraham Lincoln made the radical decision to sign the Emancipation Proclamation. Franklin Delano Roosevelt made the radical decision to embark on establishing programs like Social Security. That is radical.”
“Do you call yourself a radical?” Cooper asked.
“Yeah. You know, if that’s what radical means, call me a radical,” she replied

The US economy would fail, while the rest of the world would move on. Recipe for disaster from which the US might never recover. We would need a Marshall plan from the kind Chinese. Lots of luck.

I am sure that economics is not a strong suit nor that they think that people can just take their wealth and leave.
Having talked to people who left Great Britain during the ‘brain-drain’ I was impressed with how smart people can figure out ways to move things that represent lots of money without technically violating laws. I know several now Boeing Engineers who were able to take their life savings with them via unusual methods.

It’s all VERY SIMPLE - the idea is to use “climate change” to SHUT DOWN our economy, and nothing else. They simply don’t give a damn about the climate, or even carbon emissions (for if they did, what are they doing about the worst offender - China? - far worse than us).
The process goes like this:
1) Promise Green crap, and force it on the people.
2) Shut down all other alternatives (coal, gas, nukes, etc.)
3) When the Green crap goes bust and drives up energy costs 10-fold (or close), which it will - then give people the option to live in ‘Sustainable Housing”, which will be tiny apartment units with shared cooking and bath facilities.
4) Tear down the 60 million or so houses that people can no longer live in, and return their land to something like its original state.
5) Blame Republicans because they fought the plan.
I would say the old Soviet Union is her model, but life there was even better than what she has in store for us.
