Incoming House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D., Calif.) said in an interview with the New York Times that the Constitution considers her to be President Donald Trump's equal.
Pelosi is set to regain the speaker's gavel after spending eight years as House minority leader. Pelosi was the first female speaker of the House from 2007 to 2011, and she maneuvered to get the party's votes necessary to secure the speakership again after Democrats won back the chamber in the November midterms.
In a piece with a headline declaring her an "icon of female power," Pelosi was asked by the reporter "if she considers herself Mr. Trump's equal."
"The Constitution does," she replied.

Nope. Not equal. A equal branch of the government does not equal the head of that branch to be equal to the POTUS. Not now; never.
Pelosi is the worst of the worst and she bred an equally ugly and mentally ill daughter with a big mouth.
Some people do the world a favor when they leave it. These two are an excellent example.
> Shes not even second in line... <
And that’s why many on the Left are hoping that the Mueller report will destroy both Trump AND Pence. And I’m sure Mueller is doing all that he can to oblige.
She just said it Live in the House. MORON
Before the election, didnt the dims swear Nancy would never be Speaker?
Probably true. Congress is utterly Superior in our constitution. Congress can remove the president. But the president cannot remove the speaker. That’s why it matters so much that we have this jackass in charge of the Congress now. And that’s why it was so destructive to have that traitor Ryan in that position.
No it doesn’t, Nancy. The constitution considers you different.
That’s what I meant by “her portion”, instead of saying “her branch”.
Our local paper has informed us that they’re going to give us a Thursday and Sunday subscription free of charge. Their circulation numbers must be pretty bad if they’re giving away free subscriptions. I wouldn’t pay one penny for it.
Well, the Declaration of Independence considers her Trump’s equal, in that we have not class of birth in this country. Other than that, what does equal even mean? Does it mean that Pelosi agrees with Obama that Congress is redundant, therefore unnecessary?
A valuable clue as to what she and her ilk are thinking. It ain’t pretty.
Tighten the security around the president.
She certainly didnt believe it of Boehner and Ryan.
It’s worse than that(no follow up question) The writer writes that she is the leader of a co equal branch of government. The legislature is the co equal branch which includes the Senate.
She's been comfortably safe in her San Francisco district where she skates into office with 275,000 votes. She failed at her only statewide try for the Senate (Boxer beat her in the primary). Pelosi never tried again to compete for California's 13 million votes (in 2016).

She’s special....like Ed.
Pelosi is not human.
> If the order of succession is the yardstick, than VP is more important that Speaker of the House. He’s President of the Senate and first in line for the Presidency. <
It’s a bit off-topic, but the original line of succession was Vice President, then cabinet positions by date of establishment. It’s a real shame they changed that. Because the original way kept the three branches of government separate, just as the Founders intended.
Honestly, she is not. She was not elected by the majority of electoral votes in an election that took place across the entire union. She does hold some real power, however, but she needs to keep in mind that she represents the people of her district and act in their best interests. I think she is fantasizing about impeaching/convicting Pence and then impeaching/convicting Trump.
If we were to chop off her hands, would this shut up the town drunk?
Play a tape of it over and over and over again. She’s a deranged lunatic who hates The People.
Saying it doesn’t make it so.
What a pile of lunatics to make this ignorant loon third in line to the presidency.
