Trudeau’s mother was a “rock star” groupie at Studio 54 in the disco errror (er, era) of the late 70’s.
I don’t know how the greeks looked at that, but the Romans looked down on actors. Nero sang, played the lyre and acted and went out on the town. One reason he was joked about. Not suitable for the emperor to be an actor.
Brando must have been a hot item. He had his run of high end women in NY and it looks like he had a few guys on his dance card. I thought his portrayal of the Godfather was fantastic.
Don’t know why he went through all the weight gain. In movie with I think Faye Dunaway and Johnny Depp (Don Juan something or other) he was married to her and they rolled around in the hay. He must have been over 300. It was unwatchable. I hopeed he wasn’t going to crush her.
There is two hour documentary about him. Shows some of the turmoil he went through with his kids.

If you look at the wiki entry on Wally Cox, it says Brando said he would have happily married Cox had he been a woman. It also says that their ashes were eventually commingled. Kinda weird.

yeah. My reading described cox as more manly than he portrayed on screen, riding motorcycles and doing manly things with Brando and others. But all three articles avoided the issue. The ashes co-mingled was the brando family acknowledging their life time friendship. And yes it’s weird. But he listed three other actors and doesn’t mention Cox. Any way i liked Mr. peepers. I started watching TV about 1954.
