Another possibility is the concierge was saying “yes, sir! yes, sir!” and as soon as Cohen was out of sight he reported the incident to the police. The FBI gets a video from Cohen showing the concierge and the police have a report and ID of Cohen from the concierge.
That show is exactly like the Milgram experiment. You watch it and don’t know whether to laugh, cry, scream, or throw up. Not from cohen’s antics. FROM THE PEOPLE WHO SAY AND DO THESE HORRIBLE THINGS KNOWING A CAMERA IS IN THEIR FACE.

Ironically one of the few who came off well on the show was Bernie Sanders, who did the only correct thing of taking off the mic and walking away.
