WASHINGTON, DC House Judiciary Committee Chairman Bob Goodlatte (R-Va.) and House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman Trey Gowdy (R-SC) sent a letter to Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, Inspector General Michael Horowitz, and Acting Attorney General Matthew Whitaker outlining the Committees joint investigation into decisions made by the Department of Justice in 2016 and 2017.
The letter sent to Majority Leader McConnell, Mr. Horowitz, and Mr. Whitaker can be found HERE.

so true!
Who isore dangerous, and who is the greater liar... The person who makes an effort to fool you into supporting him, but seeks to provide a path for evil, or the person who just tells you to your face he wants you eliminated?
It does not matter who swears an oath, and serves our country, if in their heart they are not ultimately willing to sacrifice anything to stop the evil which seeks to kill it!
This just proves they are even more evil and dangerous than the brazen enemy!
Like Sessions, Gowdy fits this “evil amongst us” perfectly!
(Runs and hides)
7 pages and they didn’t even use a bold font. How can this be taken seriously without bolded font?
I’ve given up on Gowdy.
Too little too late.
Hey Trey, go retire from Congress already.
You were worthless!!!
I hope you end up in a special hell where you are forced to watch yourself on TV endlessly.
Knowing that all of your talk, led to exactly ZERO action!
Thanks for nothing buddy!
Some Judicial swamp creatures are going to get a good talking to!
Please name 1 Criminal referral to DOJ that came out of this GOP
Congress?
I’m not wasting my time. We already know!
In the end, they will always sit down togehter and have a fine meal at our expense.
Twelve to 18 months ago, about 80% of FReepers believed that indictments, arraignments, perp walks, trials and convictions were imminent. Those who scoffed and said nothing would happen were excoriated, ridiculed, and were accused of being weak and unhelpful.
Scanning this thread I see that FReeperdom is now nearly at 100% belief that nothing is going to happen to all the Deep State plotters, traitors, and seditionists.
Sessions was given the heave-ho and nothing happened. Huber is a disgrace and a laughingstock - another Deep State embed who was brought in to do nothing.
In a couple of weeks, all the investigations will turn 180 degrees and focus on Trump, his family, and colleagues. The Dems will quickly get 10X more traction than the feckless Republicans got in the past two years and, with the complicit press, the front pages are going to be SCREAMING about all the trumped up misdeeds and bogus illegalities. The public will be whipped into a frenzy and that frenzy will be kept at fever pitch by the MSM.
It is going to be an ugly two years, probably the ugliest any of us will see in our entire lives. I would not be surprised to see a severe sour mood take hold in the nation and drag the stock markets way deep into bear territory and they will, at best, go sideways the next two years.
I confess when trump called hillary criminal for 14 months, I actually was naive enough to think he would imprison her after reading the comey report which listed her crimes. I was crazy when I envisioned her going to prison for signing off on 20% of our uranium or cheating the people of haiti, or taking money for access. I must have been delusional.
This and the wall stop me from saying I will vote for him in 20. But it could happen if he lives up to his promises and restores the rule of law in this country. If not, I care less about who’s president. In the words of the greatest political criminal in the history of the uS, “after all, what difference does it make?”
If Trump had support from GOP congresscritters he would have a better chance of cleaning up the DOJ etc. How many GOP senators said they wouldn't confirm a replacement if he fired RR?
BINGO! Finally someone else around here that actually knows the constitutional roles of each branch rather than fan girl idol worshippers! But noooooo, to come down on DOJ is to split from the President so we cant have that now can we? Noooo we must take our little frustrations on the easier target which is Congress well because we cant ridicule a feckless DOJ thats supposed to be managed by this administration. We must hide behind terms such as criminal referral so that it seems Gowdy hasnt done his job which is a ruse and a red herring.
Gowdy and Issa uncovered so damn much during their hearings (you know did their jobs actually) that I could get a Grand Jury to indict and I dont even practice law. How about we change this thread around and place the responsibility where it belongs so here goes, Mr President, are you going to actually lead and speak with your DOJ on convening a Grand Jury for indictments or tweet about it?
Ohhhhh I think Ive done it now. I know it will hurt some but when you cannot or refuse to face the truth it surely does hurt
NEWS FLASH! You DO NOT have to have a criminal referral for DOJ to convene a Grand Jury when there is enough evidence on its own. I know you like hopping from thread to thread belching this nonsense to play coverup for a feckless DOJ mis managed by this administration but that schtick has run its course. No one is being fooled any longer. The evidence is and has been there and you can thank Gowdy and Issa as well as other for uncovering it before all of the public live in front of cameras.
Pfffft criminal teferrals my rear
I wonder how much these two knew about the spying on the Trump campaign as it was happening and if that has anything to do with their decision to retire?
Thats an excuse, its not RR. His appointment of Sessions and keeping RR and then everyone hiding behind the excuse of not being able to fire because of Congress is like killing your parents then crying that youre an orphan afterwards. The DOJ prosecutor there in DC can convene a grand jury. Or the prosecutor within the state they have their foundation.
It doesnt need RR.
Sad but true. Talking time is over and we will soon take to the streets.
“It is going to be an ugly two years, probably the ugliest any of us will see in our entire lives. I would not be surprised to see a severe sour mood take hold in the nation...”
The last two were pretty bad with the mueller coup, the fakestream media, and the ceckless funts in the Republican party supporting the coup. They’ve already invalidated or nullified Trump’s presidency and the will of the voters.
Now they’re going to pull out all the stops and go for impeachment, removal or worse. I give better than even odds that this will end in gun play.
Most of the republican congress is supporting the corrupt DOJ and the mueller coup. The reason why the swamp hasn’t been drained. That includes that faggot, gowdy.
We have a corrupt government! The whole lot of them! Never thought this would happen to the United States, but greed and power is the addictive appetite of the men and women who we send to Washington to serve the people. Whatever.. whoever.. was supposed to correct this before it came to this point... failed. Seems the one thing that could have prevented this would have been term limits. Serve and go back home. There are too many career criminals running this country!
We the people voted Trump in to clean up the mess. If he can’t, there is no one else out there who can. The onslaught has been something to witness... the media, the whole of congress and Washington... plus the liberal elite who thought they had a hold on all this...work to oust our President. At least, they are afraid of him... He lives in their minds, their stories, their daily “reports” and gossips.
