Three fights at the Walden Galleria prompted a lock down inside the mall on Wednesday night.
At around 6:30 p.m., shoppers inside the Galleria were locked inside stores while security tried to get the crowds of young people involved in the fights under control.
Cheektowaga Police confirmed no shots were fired, dispelling rumors that were circulating on social media.
Cheektowaga Police report that two arrests were made in connection to the fights. One person was arrested for disorderly conduct and a second for menacing.
There are no injuries reported to police at this time.

What on earth is the point of locking people IN with these feral “youths”? Seems to be asking for more trouble. Is it even legal? Sounds like kidnapping to me.

I just checked for location. This is a suburb of Buffalo, NY.

when i shop, it’s during the day. usually just old people like myself. Made the mistake of going to a mall in Pittsburgh at night once, dodged a similar situation that was on that video.
Malls should charge an entry fee, 5 bux or so, redeemable at any store, not food related or the movies. Probably would cut down on these kinds of incidents.

This sort of thing has happened yesterday at two malls in CT.
Upstate New York in the Buffalo metro area.
Safest place in a mall is the book store.

Same here yesterday at an “upscale” mall in Cincinnati — two fights — feral females.
