Democrats are lining up to support Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s “Green New Deal.”

The proposal could be the largest expansion of government since the Great Society or New Deal.

Ocasio-Cortez’s plan could cost tens of trillions of dollars.

Democrats are increasingly lining up to support a “Green New Deal,” which, while vague on details, could end up being the largest expansion of government in decades.

As it stands, the “Green New Deal” is more aspirational than actual policy. Indeed, it takes its name from the New Deal of the 1930s, and its main backer, incoming Democratic New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, compared it to the Great Society of the 1960s.

More than 40 Democratic lawmakers support the “Green New Deal” as part of a broad plan to fight global warming and bring about what they see as “economic, social and racial justice.” A poll found most Americans supported the deal, but knew little about it.

I’m not buying the overplay moniker. If 2018 election proved anything it proved there are enough dummies that our nation is almost lost. With enough evidence out there of democrat violence, crimes, and far left policies and to still get voted in is shocking. This tells me there is a large portion of the population not going past broadcast news to receive their information. If that is the case (which 2018 proved that it is) they will only grow more powerful

Turn on who? We're like fans watching a ballgame while the stadium crumbles around us. The players (both D's and R's) could care less as long as they're getting outragous salaries.
Baseline budgeting will be the rot that is destroying the stadium but it's the last thing players on either side want to address. DC is our enemy but will the fans wake up before or after the stadium collapses.

One man is sounding the alarm but will he succeed when he is so hated and maligned by the players? It's up to the fans.

Five criteria: the name of the ND or GS program; what it was supposed to do; what it actually did, and did it work or not; and is it still around?
