Democrats are lining up to support Alexandria Ocasio-Cortezs Green New Deal.
The proposal could be the largest expansion of government since the Great Society or New Deal.
Ocasio-Cortezs plan could cost tens of trillions of dollars.
Democrats are increasingly lining up to support a Green New Deal, which, while vague on details, could end up being the largest expansion of government in decades.
As it stands, the Green New Deal is more aspirational than actual policy. Indeed, it takes its name from the New Deal of the 1930s, and its main backer, incoming Democratic New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, compared it to the Great Society of the 1960s.
More than 40 Democratic lawmakers support the Green New Deal as part of a broad plan to fight global warming and bring about what they see as economic, social and racial justice. A poll found most Americans supported the deal, but knew little about it.

Im not buying the overplay moniker. If 2018 election proved anything it proved there are enough dummies that our nation is almost lost. With enough evidence out there of democrat violence, crimes, and far left policies and to still get voted in is shocking. This tells me there is a large portion of the population not going past broadcast news to receive their information. If that is the case (which 2018 proved that it is) they will only grow more powerful
One man is sounding the alarm but will he succeed when he is so hated and maligned by the players? It's up to the fans.
A Democrat president will sign off on such green-commie crap. Not Trump.
Since when was this an issue in 2016 ? And why wasn’t it an issue along with all the other PC social engineering krap the media was pushing ?
That’s 2018 not 16
Fight global warming IN YOUR NEW CAR! It's the green thing to do.
Republicans, *not* in congress, in response to this crapola, need to come out with the opposite tack:
“Let’s free America from the shackles of the New Deal *and* the Great Society!”
Five criteria: the name of the ND or GS program; what it was supposed to do; what it actually did, and did it work or not; and is it still around?

I’m still waiting to see all of the Green Jobs that Obama told us were going to materialize in 2008.
Liberals never notice the more free stuff the government gives the higher the taxes go so it’s not free, everyone pays for it pure socialism.
“I dont trust most of the GOPe Senators.”
It will be a more Trump friendly Senate.
Ahh, but you forgot about that shining example of Venezuela, the land of plenty, the land of freedom, the land where everyone yearns to live.
*Spit*
Trump could smack this down, issue by issue — if he can ever squeeze in the time from tweeting over Mueller. A good staff could load up his gun with issue tweets.
VETORAMA!
“It will be a more Trump friendly Senate.”
Not nearly friendly enough with The Turtle running the show! He has the means at his disposal to give Trump the $5 billion by a rules change, but he won’t do it. But you can be sure that the next time the RATS hold the Senate, they WILL change all of the rules to facilitate their legislative goals.
Too bad none of this nonsense will even get to the floor of the Senate for a vote.
“It’s up to the fans.”
That would be US!
And, that is the point I am making: The Inside the Evil Beltway Establishment Crowd (BOTH Ds and Rs) will overplay their hand, and We the People will thump them in 2020!
God help us if we don’t!
I sure do hope you are wrong!
2020 is the end game election, IMHO, and we’d best get it right!
The end move in politics is always to pick up a gun.

We're engaged in a civil war right now and we owe it to our descendants to use every weapon in our arsenal. Lock down the switchboard, crash the email servers but above all DO NOT get organized. (Jenny Beth, that's for you.)
It would take a personal commitment but it is doable.
My point is that we need to spend the time between now and then doing just that.
