Turkey ‘Will Eradicate Whatever Is Left Of ISIS’: Trump
Breaking 911 ^ | December 24, 2018

U.S. President Donald Trump tweeted late on Sunday that Turkey’s president Recep Erdogan told him he would work to take out remaining pockets of so-called Islamic State, appearing to give Ankara his endorsement, saying that the country “will eradicate whatever is left of IS”.

This poses major concerns for the ethnic Kurds who occupy northern Syria, a group the Turkish president considers a major threat due to what he says are their connections to the internationally recognized status of the Kurdish PKK in southeast Turkey.

The United States-led global coalition, who recognizes the Kurds in Syria as distinct from the terrorist group in Turkey, worked closely with the Kurds to take on IS through the Syrian Democratic Forces.

“President @RT_Erdogan of Turkey has very strongly informed that he will eradicate whatever is left of ISIS in Syria”, President Trump tweeted, adding that “he is a man who can do it plus, Turkey is right ‘next door.’ Our troops are coming home!”

Something our America hating liberals will not allow our military to do.

They would prefer another Viet Nam debacle.

LOL! The Turks have different Rules of Engagement. Look up what the Turks did to thieves during the Korean war.

People like Mattis don’t think so. His knowledge costs for something. I don’t think it matters to Trump. Let them kill our enemies. Cheaper that way.

The Kurds would have to guarantee to recognize Israel and provide a home to all middle east Christians before a finger should be lifted. They don’t want it that bad.

If you go to early September and review an independent map of who controls what....there are two areas of Syria with ISIS thugs still running around. One area is about the size of Baltimore city...the second is in western Syria and about 1,000 square miles.

But here is the key thing....out of all of Syria...the maps all go into seven different ‘controllers’ (Assad, Turks, Kurds, etc). None of the seven can reach any one-nation status....nor is it the US job to bring them to a one-nation status. Someone has to go and annihilate enough folks so there’s only one single controller. The rest just need to escape or give up.

This is pure BS! Not an ounce of truth:

𝙄𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙡 𝘾𝙡𝙖𝙬𝙨 🎄🦀 @IntelCrab

Turkey is also right 'next door' from Kurdistan, a priceless ally who has aided us more in the fight against both Assad and ISIL than some wanna be Turkish thug ever could.

Erdogan is to be trusted with NOTHING! But to LIE.

I consider the news source as total hot air.

Trump statement may be correct. What is said about Trump's statement is not.

There’s an easy test for whether we should help or trust middle easteners (or anyone else in the world). Can two young blond tourists hike across the countryside without having their throats slit. Even though the Kurds have greater respect for women than other Muslims, the answer is unfortunately probably not.

I don't support this move. I don't trust that vicious snake Erdogan at all. Why not let Assad and the Russians exterminate what's left of ISIS. The Kurds lived under Assad's rule long before we got involved in Syria.

"we’re f..king the Kurds again."

We've been trying to get the Kurds to come to some-type of power-sharing agreement with Turkey - apparently they have stead-fast refused to enter into ANY negotiations with Turkey. Why should they, we are always there.

Trump says no, we're not always there - Kurds had plenty of time to make a deal while we were there (our presence would assure them of better bargaining position).
That is all (mostly) gone now. Sure, the Kurds have gotten screwed in the past (see HW Bush), but they are not the sainted ones on this planet, either - so be careful about putting the Kurds on some higher plane.
They have valiantly fought along side us, but remember, that wasn't for us, it was for themselves.

The Kurdish issue predates our own country - this is not our fight.

The one on our southern border is.

I support anything Never Trunpers and other A-hole libtards are for! Having 2,000 USA troops in a Russian “kill zone” is insane. What in the hell were we in a Syrian desert. Some posters here apparently have never heard of cruise missles!

Deals with the turkish caliphate folks are questionable. Just like those chuck n nancy deals last year didn’t pay off, this has little chance also.
So what do we get in return?
Didn’t turkish prez guards kick some Americans around a few months ago?

I think Mattis, in his arrogance, viewed himself more qualified to make the critical policy decisions than than the upstart, uninitiated Trump.

Maybe he should run for president.

The Kurds already do. That hasn't been in question in recent times.

Some have fought with the SDF. Most have a home with Assad, Iran, Russia,... The situation in Syria is complicated.
