The city is planning another homeless sweep in urban Honolulu- and it's happening on Christmas Eve. Police officers will be at the Kakaako Makai area before dawn - from 3 to 5:30 a.m. - on Monday.
The city posted the notice to its website on Friday. The city periodically removes homeless from public areas when the parks get overrun with homeless people and their tents, tarps, and dogs.

Cant be allowed to distract the tourists. Drop them off at some tatted communities?
Poor Hawaii. It’s tough to balance being a tourist mecca with the desire to be so far left.
I remember the slums driving from the airport to Honolulu...but it was 45 years ago.
[ Maybe the city should email each homeless person to make sure they read the notice on the city website. ]
Or send a text to their iphones.
I think Nully and I were having a conversation about this recently.
I like the Dilbert where the guy’s computer is down and the Help Desk guy is telling him to fill out a request online.
I am reminded of a scene from “They Live”. It was 2 or 3 minutes or so.
Oh, the liberal RATS will just say they are actually tourists who could not afford the airfare to get home....
My guess is that Obama is going to buy a place in Hawaii and Michelle can do what she wants....which appears to be what is going on at the present.
Like in the “Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy” where the Vogons posted notifications regarding the intergalactic by-pass at Alpha Centuri. If earth had any objections Earthers had to go to that office and read the bulletin.
Awhile back out net went out and when I called they told me it would take 2-3 days to get someone out to fix it. I told them that was unacceptable and when I hung up I told Hubby to email someone with clout and complain. Then I went....oh. Lol
That was before he had a smart phone. I had one so I did it.
With the palm trees, climate and beach, I guess they have no disincentive.
Granddaughter just got back from Honolulu and said there are homeless everywhere. I had warned her before she went. She said shell never go to Honolulu again. I go to Hawaii all the time but go to the Big Island.
Kakaako was a worn out part of downtown Honolulu where recent developers are attempting to convert warehouses into a trendy restaurant/ happy hour gastro pubs and bistros and the such. It will fail in the end like the nearby “restaurant row” developers attempted 20 years ago.
The city constantly resorts to sweep up type methods to keep the hundreds of homeless transplants away from people trying to enjoy themselves.
Honolulu is a 100 percent rat union machine town, but it is mostly run by local Japanese, and the insane white SJW types have zero power. Seattle transplant Doug Chin, the preening non elected AG, was basically thrown away by Honolulu voters when he tried to turn HI into a sanctuary for terrorist list countries because he assumed everyone in HI loved terrorists and hated Trump as much as him..He was wrong and lost huge in his congressional bid. The homeless transplants don’t get the SF treatment in Honolulu either.
Urban outdoorsmen.

Stop selling tents in Hawaii
:)
Email was a part of that Dilbert as well. Wish I could find it. It ends with the tech guy telling the user he’s completely worthless (for not being able to email, etc. from his broken computer).
I suppose he could have gone to another computer - but he’d have to log in, hehehe.
Will the Obamas be in Honolulu this Christmas? I do not recall where they were last year for Christmas.
I suppose if they have to pay for the accommodations and flights themselves, they will sponge off of some other leftist billionaire.
