While speaking on the Senate floor on Saturday, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) stated that the Senate will reconvene for its next scheduled session on Thursday, December 27th.
McConnell said, “So, Mr. President, here’s where we are. The Senate will next meet for a pro forma session on Monday, that’s the 24th. The next scheduled session will be on the 27th of December.”
He added that he is pleased that “productive discussions are continuing.” McConnell continued that there will be no votes on funding the government until a deal is reached that will pass the House and the Senate and be signed by the president.
After McConnell’s statement, the Senate adjourned.

Well, I think there are 20-25 Republicans who would never vote for a wall if they were vote #50, so I don't think the new Senate will change anything.
But the new Senate won't have a wall bill to consider, because all pending legislation dies at midnight on January 3, and teh new House won't pass wall funding under any circumstances.

Yes. Mitch and Chuck will keep kicking this around until Jan 3, when the funding bill dies and the Wall/shutdown issue hopefully (for Mitch and Chuck) goes away. The bonus is that it prevent PJDT from making any recess appointments.

Mitch wouldn’t want to interrupt, or make it harder for FSB and Chinese prostitutes to get information to send back to Moscow and Beijing. Especially this time of year. His Senate buddies would get a reduction in pay and benefits from Beijing and Moscow, and at Christmas when they need more money to blow.
Feds are closed for 8 days out of the next 14 due to Christmas and New Year. That leaves 6 working days, that Congress doesn’t work anyway.

McConman won’t put it up for a vote. He is protecting the fake conservative Senators from having to go on record, as they will be blamed forever for preventing Trump from fulfilling one of his promises. Just like Trump kept pointing at McCain for killing the repeal of obamacare.

McConnell, as Senate Majority leader can kill any bill introduced. That is s lot of power.
