Thank you for the info. It supports others who have recently sent me updates.
I refuse to rely on US based news sources (same with EU) about events there. Only those actually on the ground there understand it. All news from within Turkey is 100% lies/propaganda.
Lately I’ve been otherwise occupied and not on web much. It will continue for a while.

Syrian Christians in north-eastern Syria (who claim persecution by our Kurdish allies)The Kurds in N. Syria ARE NOT persecuting Christians. Period. In Iraq, there are places it happens. All Kurds are not the same, nor are all Syrians.

I do not believe there is one Christian group in Syria that doesnt support the legitimate government of Syria led by Assad.I do know some. And some Syriacs in the MFS (totally Christian) portion of the SDF have been part of the YPG since it was formed (long before SDF existed). None of them were separatist, never wanted Syria cut up. But wanted more democratic government in Syria. Assad is not the path for that.

Leaving is abandoning allies to the jaws of their deadly enemies -.....There are no allies, just Muslims in Syria.

Kurds are not the same sort of muslims as the others and Israel comes to mind - both of which peoples are allies.

I think this is a brilliant solution. And I hope the Saudis can shutdown Iran’s operations in the area.

The Saudi go to infantry forces are Sunni fanaticss,i.e. ISIS, Taliban, etc. Supposedly, those groups were the ones we were fighting, though information kept leaking out that the opposite was true.

Not going to happen.
The Israelis would step in to assist the Saudis, the enemy of my enemy is my friend.
Israel wants to keep Iran from basing troops and missile batteries inside Syria.
To: marajade
Yes - But they will probably find fault with the plan - I haven’t seen this agreement reported on the MSM yet - too busy trashing Trump’s withdrawal. MAGA
To: JPJones
Why would Mattis et al, be soooo against this? Because the Saudi's are no friends of the Kurds and Mattis knows this.
I hardly think the Saudi's are going to be there to protect the Kurds at all. Time will tell, I just hope our country isn't again turning our back on the Kurds.

We, on the other hand need to bring our troops home from Syria, and Afghanistan soon after. The greatest danger our troops need to face is the occasional sliver or hand injury as they fabricate missiles, bombs and the ships and aircraft needed to deliver them.
Let the mozlums do their own dirty work.

I do not see how that is even a remotely relevant question.

Another 911 style airplane attack is improbable with the airport security we now have.
So why we care who kills whom in the snake pit called the Middle-East?
How much more war debt we need to pile on to act as the world’s policeman? Foreign wars and debt are the reasons major empires collapsed.
