A longtime associate of late Republican Arizona Sen. John McCain provided a copy of the infamous Steele dossier to BuzzFeed News, according to an explosive court filing released Wednesday.
David Kramer, a former State Department official who was an executive at the McCain Institute, met on Dec. 29, 2016 with BuzzFeed reporter Ken Bensinger, according to a filing submitted Wednesday by U.S. District Court Judge Ursula Ungaro.
BuzzFeed published the dossier, which was authored by former British spy Christopher Steele, on Jan. 10, 2017.
The disclosure was made as part of a final report ahead of Ungaro’s ruling in favor of BuzzFeed in a defamation lawsuit.

I was going to do a number 1 but now I think I will risk a number 2.
I happen to think it is quite “interesting” to publicize who gave the dossier to BuzzFeed. Arguably it would have gotten out one way or another but THAT IS (apparently) the specific route of transmission that did put the putrid dishonest “dossier” into worldwide public circulation. Other media outlets had refrained from publishing or even much reporting on the matter due to the dubious provenance, but McCain/Kramer to BuzzFeed did put it out there for all to see.... it gave “legs” to the story.
The fact that John McVain’s fingerprints are on the filthy deed is highly relevant imho. Certainly it needs to be known by all patriotic Americans so that none continue to hold McVain in any favorable regard.

Yep! And nothing will happen. Had this been done by a republican to Obama or Clinton it would mean something. They forget that we have a separate “no justice” system for us. I wish god would end this now. I am so tired of playing this game and losing when I have the winning cards.
Also (arguably) McCain/Kramer resorted to BuzzFeed BECAUSE the traditional MSM was showing some scruples about reporting on such utter trash. We can’t know if a more “mainstream” MSM outlet would have published the thing eventually but they had not done so to that point in time... not even when the 2016 election was at stake. So haughty self-important John McCain used an internet tabloid to launch the international public career of the “dirty dossier”.... thanks, John.

McVain had only admitted to passing it on to Comey for investigation. That is very different from handing it to an internet tabloid for publication.
Until BuzzFeed got hold of it from McCain/Kramer the thing had not seen the light of day in public. This is the explanation of what CHANGED all that, and it bears the dirty fingerprints of John McCain. That is news, in my book.
All i know is that John got good training for heat tolerance living in Arizona. Hope its being put to good use.

It was at that point that Fusion GPS hired Mr. Steele, who has deep sourcing in Russia, to gather information.
The Washington Free Beacon (Bill Kristol, Paul Singer) first funded Fusion GPS oppo research on Trump and other GOP candidates.
Fusion passed on rumors about Trump from before he was a candidate. The rumors had been catalogued by Glenn Simpson for the Wall Street Journal before Fusion GPS was established. Steele was just a cover story.

Interestingly, in this document dump is the fact that Steele sent part of his “report” to Paul Ryan in Dec. 2016 via Ryan’s aide.
I suspect Paul Ryan and Marco Rubio may have been involved with the insurance policy. A group of 17-18 people got together to discuss the “policy” (Strzok/Page texts) but names have been redacted. I’m sure the President knows who’s who though.
