“[P]eople who voted for him and want the wall, went to the polls to vote for that wall, they want to know how he’s going to do this and they want to know why he seems to be softening his stance this morning,” asked Earhardt.

We were led to believe that he would put up a bigger fight. I realize he has no GOP support but he should have at least tried to do a shut down to maintain his credibility, which is now shot.

Border Patrol has said from the beginning they prefer a see through type of wall. I don’t think anyone from Fox News will be patrolling the border.
Trump was elected partially to build the wall, partially to drain the swamp, partially to disrupt WA DC.
We have seen now how entrenched the swamp really is.
There is a lot that a President should not do without Congressional authorization, and some stuff he can't do without Congressional authorization.
Congress would not deal with ObamaCare and so he gave up and moved on. Congress will not deal with immigration reform or “Dreamers” and so life moves on. Congress will not deal with budget reform. Congress will not authorize sufficient money for a wall along the Mexican border.....oh it did authorized such a wall in bipartisan legislation long ago, but that was just an illusion that no swamp dweller ever thought would actually happen.
The problem is not Trump so much as the people that “we” elect to the House and Senate and how they get corrupted by the politics of Washington DC.
