Tampons and Kotex pads make great battle dressings.
They are absorbent, sterile, soak up blood damn good, come in individual sterile packets, easy to pack a lot of them.
And they are a hell of a lot cheaper than store bought bandages, if you can even find dressings big enough for large serious wounds.

PS: Tampons are great for plugging bullet entrance wounds, need the Kotex “large pads” for the exit wound.

I approve of this. Panty liners are great for cleaning your rifles and pistols, the bore excepted. They are lint free and will spread a thin film of gun oil on your weapon with ease. At WSU they are free in the mens bathrooms. What a deal this is.

Win win here. Guys can take the products and give them to the women in their lives and the university can crow about how many of the products are being used and pat themselves on their backs every day.
